RY Cafe | 榕忆记 — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant.

Food Quality – I ordered the Creamy Butter Lala Noodle, which was a recommended dish on the menu. At first, it tasted okay, but after the second or third spoonful, the flavor became overwhelming and felt dull on the tongue. It lacked depth, and I lost the taste completely. The Cheese Baked Pork Chop Rice was even worse—there was barely any flavor at all.

Dining Environment – My lunch was disrupted by a very noisy child at the table next to me. The child kept shouting at an extremely high volume, yet no one, not even the staff, did anything about it. It was so loud that it actually hurt my ears.

Drinks – The only saving grace was the Passion Orange Soda. It was refreshing and well-balanced, unlike the food.

Fake Reviews – Don’t trust the 5-star Google reviews! I feel like I got scammed by them. It turns out many people leave high ratings just to get a free ice cream. Unfortunately, the reality of the food here doesn’t match the hype.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a good meal. If you’re just here for drinks, maybe it’s worth a try—but don’t expect much...

Fried Pork Bamboo Noodle is thin with faint egg flavour, has tasty black sauce but lack fragrance from lard or other complementing element, tasty fried pork but fatty & tasty wan tan that which make good at an average level. The Pork Chop Cheese Bake rice was a pass as well rather than just focussing on having cheese to give flavour; their Pork has flavour, comes with mushroom cuts if you choose white sauce (mushroom sauce), corn & cheese on top but lack flavour, it's average for this. They provide free ice cream her too so it's not just Ah Gong Kopitiam anymore (best part they inform you upfront vs discovering yourself at Ah Gong, but don't take the initiave to replace empty tubs). There is a fly in the cafe with no fly catcher...

Pls don’t come here!!! All the staffs ok except the manager wearing black colour uniform didn’t did his best to manage the restaurant and the customers as well. We order the waffle because of the advertisement their posted at the front glass door and we suppose to get the free ice cream but end up the free ice cream not available due to the machine was broken down. Beside that , when we ask the waiter to convey our complaint to the manager, the manager didn’t take any action so we ask for the manager second time they just remove the advertisement on the front glass door!! Isit the way they treat customers?? Very unsatisfied with...
