Where do I even begin. We found this restaurant through a TikTok review. My first red flag should have been the dirty and ripped menus, no wait at all and overall low level of cleanliness inside the restaurant. Our first server with a tattoo behind his ear had a really bad attitude when I questioned him on whether the two sizes of Coca-Cola he was offering were bottled or out of a soda tap/gun. He brings me a pint glass full of flat Coca-Cola and then gets upset when I question him again and he finally admits it came from a 2 L bottle that had clearly been already opened. I therefore asked for the smaller bottled option, which I would have preferred if he was just honest with me in the first place instead of trying to hide it. While I do admit some of the other servers were genuinely hospitable and we were offered a drink on the house to go, for the price point the food did not at all make the cut. I am talking violent vomiting, five and seven hours later and I was sick the rest of the night. There are so many other better options on the island and you’re better off just waiting to go home for your seafood boil. The only positive from this experience was honestly the view of the ocean, which again can be had at many other different places. In the end, they tried to charge me for the larger Coca-Cola, but took it off and replaced it with the smaller one when I called them on it. Read moreI visit this small restaurant quite often. It's convenient because it's one of the restaurants that is open even when most others in the area are closed.
Most of the time the food is great, and I'm satisfied with the experience. In fact, I have some fond memories of the place.
There were a couple of times when the food quality was not the best. Once, in March 2023, I also had cocktails that weren't very strong. However, lately, I didn't have many problems with the quality of the food or that of the drinks. The restaurant also has a happy hour on certain cocktails almost every day. Not sure about the exact time but it seems to be from 3pm till 5pm.
The staff is quite nice and efficient, although the waiting staff can be a bit too enthusiastic and tactless sometimes, asking you loudly if the food is good from about three meters away, when you clearly have a mouth full of delicious food and cannot really reply back except with a thumbs up.
The music played is usually not very disturbing, and can even be quite pleasant because they tend to play certain classics that a wide spectrum of people enjoy.
The toilets are clean and the restaurant also offers free Wi-Fi.
Although the place is located on a slope that takes you down to the sea, and is usually rather crowded, especially around noon, you can still get a good glimpse of Filfla and the sea in the background.

Read moreI had a terrible experience with the customer service at Azul. I called to inquire about the kitchen closing time and was told that it closes at 10 PM. Thinking I could still enjoy a meal, I asked to make a reservation for 9:30 PM, only to be met with an outright refusal. The guy on the phone insisted they would be closing the restaurant at 10 PM, which left me confused and disappointed. When I requested to speak to a manager to clarify the situation, he outright refused and said he couldn’t connect me. This was incredibly frustrating, as I wanted to understand why making a reservation was an issue. I mentioned that I would leave a review due to the unsatisfactory service, and he dismissively replied that I had no grounds for a bad review since I hadn’t even set foot in the restaurant. His attitude was rude and unhelpful throughout the call, and he then suggested that I could message their Instagram page if I had further inquiries. This entire interaction was unprofessional and left a sour taste in my mouth. I understand that restaurants have policies, but there should always be room for customer service and reasonable accommodations.
