Five-star pizza, minus-five-star manager: the math does itself.
It all started well. A night out with friends in the heart of Valletta, delicious pizzas, real laughter, a friendly waiter... Then came the plot twist straight out of a bad indie film: the payment.
Enter the manager — let’s call him "The Terminal Guardian" — who decides that splitting a bill by card is apparently a crime against humanity (or against his precious €5 in card fees). The problem? Nowhere is this mentioned. Not on the menu, not at the entrance, not even hidden under a plate.
We calmly explain that we only have cards and need to split the bill like the functioning adults we are — and the guy goes from 0 to rage like a scooter on a downhill in Mdina. Verbal aggression, blatant disrespect to both us and his own staff (“I don’t care about the tip”) — it was a 7-minute masterclass in how not to handle customers.
He nearly lost €110 just to save €5. Genius management. Harvard, take notes.
In the end, he caved under passive-aggressive pressure (“Either you split it or we walk”), proving that common sense occasionally beats stubborn ego.
The takeaway: 🥇 Pizza: Excellent. 👨🍳 Waiter: Delightful. 👔 Manager: Needs a sabbatical. Or therapy. 💳 Payment process: Felt like an escape room with no exit.
We came for the pizza. We left with a thesis on...

My two friends and I got there and got a cider, a cisk and a blue label . Whilst the cider was perfectly chilled though , the beers were unfortunately not cold . We thought nothing of it and ordered 3 pizzas and decided to share them between us so we’d try them all. People were queuing up for a table and patron turnover was quite healthy. The pizzas were good and the experience was good …. Up until the time when half way through our dinner a waiter came to ask us if we wanted takeaway boxes … we courteously informed him that we were still not ready and he backed off ( noting that we had only eaten a pizza and a half up until then !! ) …. 5 minutes later another waiter came along and asked us if we wanted to take our pizzas home … at which point we told him lo let us finish our dinner in peace . There were other patrons who arrived both before us and after us who were not approached to leave the table . It was quite unsettling to feel so unwelcome especially due to the fact that most of the patrons queuing up for a table had not even bothered to book like us !!! … a bit of a let down...

Tucked away in a charming location, this restaurant offers a dining experience that's both genuine and delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating is perfect for soaking in the Valletta ambiance, but it's the food that truly steals the show. The pizza is simply sublime. The dough, fermented for 48 hours, is a testament to their dedication to quality—it’s incredibly light, airy, and has the perfect amount of chew. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, from the rich tomato sauce to the creamy mozzarella. We also tried their bruschetta and calamari, both of which were delicious and showcased the kitchen’s commitment to using high-quality ingredients. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our waiter was happy to provide recommendations and ensured our meal was perfect from start to finish.
