I recently had the incredible opportunity to stay at Casa Ellul, and I must say, it was an absolute dream come true. As a contestant preparing for Miss World Malta, the experience couldn't have been more perfect. Casa Ellul provided the ideal setting to get ready at for the final Night of Miss world Malta while indulging in the luxurious comfort of this stunning boutique hotel.

From the moment I stepped foot into Casa Ellul, I was captivated by its charm and elegance. The historical building exuded an old-world charm that was beautifully complemented by modern amenities and a warm, inviting ambiance. The attention to detail in the décor and furnishings showcased a fine blend of contemporary and classic styles, creating an atmosphere of sophistication that is truly unparalleled.

The staff at Casa Ellul were exceptionally attentive and hospitable. From the warm welcome to the seamless check-in process, I felt like a VIP guest throughout my stay. They were incredibly supportive of my Miss World Malta preparations, offering assistance whenever needed and going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and convenience.

My room was a true oasis of tranquility. The comfortable bed, plush linens, and carefully curated design made it easy for me to relax and get ready for the big night. The well-appointed bathroom with luxurious amenities added an extra touch of indulgence to my stay.

The location of Casa Ellul was another advantage. Situated in the heart of Valletta, Malta's capital city, I was able to be close to where my final night show was about to take place ; Fort St.Elmo.

If you are looking for your typical generic every day hotel, stop reading and look elsewhere because Casa Ellul is beautifully unique and really lives up to the SLH moniker. This small boutique hotel, to me, is pretty special. Being a previous home, for many generations, the rooms are each different and unique in there own way. I was in room 3, with wee French balconies to look over the street. I slept with the French door open all night 🌙 listening to the sounds and later on, quiet of night time. The mid century replica TV was great! The deep soak tub was put to good use! The bed was very comfortable and I slept great with the fresh spring air flowing throughout the room. The hidden wash basin behind a muraled wall was space saving and so smart! The gentleman who checked me in, was delightful. He brought my luggage up to the room for me, then brought me a glass of prosecco to welcome me. I am so sorry I forgot his name! because he deserve praise for his kindness, helpful nature and friendly smile. He also helped make dinner reservations, called me a cab and gave me advise on some things to do around Valletta. I was happy to see his smiling face in the morning for breakfast! The only critiques I can make are it was difficult to find a plug in a place where I could do my hair, in front of a mirror with a place to put my flat iron and hair implements down. I made do with the floor lol but really, for an almost 200 year old building, it was to not much of a hardship, just a small inconvenience in a splendidly unique place. Also, i found the black painted dining area somewhat claustrophobic, only because of the dark colour on the walls and ceilings, though very nicely decorated. In my opinion, a lighter, historical accurate colour should be added so as not to feel so closed and dark, but again, such a minor thing and purely a personal taste. Our recent stay at Casa Ellul was a truly enjoyable experience, marked by warm hospitality, comfortable accommodation, and a superb location in the heart of Valletta.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Mariana at reception, whose outstanding service set the tone for the rest of our visit. She was friendly, warm, and consistently helpful throughout our stay—offering recommendations, assisting with arrangements, and ensuring we felt well looked after.

Our room was beautifully appointed, with a stunning view of St Paul’s Cathedral, which added a real sense of occasion to our visit. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was a delight—particularly welcome after navigating the summer heat. While the room was a little warm on arrival due to the 35° weather, it cooled down quickly and provided a relaxing retreat from the bustle outside.

One of the highlights was enjoying a quiet evening in the Jacuzzi, which added a luxurious touch and allowed us to unwind fully.

Casa Ellul’s location is truly excellent, making it an ideal base for exploring Valletta. Whether walking to historical sites, restaurants, or the waterfront, everything was within easy reach.
