CATFISH HOTEL AND UNRESPONSIVE OWNERS.

What an absolute disappointment arriving into beautiful Valletta and checking in here. The problems began immediately when we realised this hotel was a catfish.

The advertised photos of the rooftop terrace and pool were completely unrecognisable in real life. See included photos of what is advertised versus what we were met with. Not only was it a horrible condition, but we arrived early September planning to swim in the spa, and it was already shut. The days were still almost 30 degrees Celsius. There was also a plate of rotten food continuing to rot beside the torn up seats.

Once we got ready for bed we became disgusted more so. The lack of cleanliness all round was so bad, but they clearly know it. Listed in their booklet it even says ‘ not clean enough- let us know’. This is evidently a recurring issue that they are failing to fix.

Stains everywhere, dust and dirt piles. Absolutely filthy everywhere. The bathroom smelt like piss.

We unfortunately had a big day and got into bed late, however were so incredibly repulsed with the filth of the sheets that I slept with my beach towel. See attached a photo of the bed staining, not to mention it being torn, covered in crumbs. The most disgusting I’ve ever seen.

We contacted the number provided immediately and numerous times who is apparently ‘available 24/7’ as per the booklet. But they did not respond.. not for almost a whole day. We called, messaged- nothing.

By the time we received a response we had checked out and checked into a new hotel.

Do not stay here, they will ignore you if there is a problem. They will also ignore you if you request assistance with any form of refund for our unused nights.

What a shame, I wish I read...

DO NOT STAY HERE ! Unless you are happy to live in absolute filth, dirty stained sheets as if someone’s spilt a whole curry on them and hairs everywhere.

Bathroom is disgusting with water coming through the walls and mould visibly showing.

The best part about this apartment would have to be leaving it, we were meant to stay 4 nights and barely made it through one. You can find a better property for a lower cost than this one or better yet just spend that little bit extra to not be extremely disappointed by this one.

I hate that i can even give this properly a single star it deserves nothing, owner is useless and contactless once you are checked in but very responsive prior to check in , it’s as if he knows his apartment is horrendous but is more than happy to take peoples money and do...

Nice place with tidy and clean appearance. The young man who greeted us was well turned out and polite and helpful. The actual appartement was a bit smaller than we thought (photos can leave it difficult to judge) but suited us fine. If you have any difficulty with stairs, do use the lift provided - the stairs have quite uneven thread depth and no handrail - interesting to use though 😊 The location is excellent, a few short streets from St. John's church/Square. Prices in this tourist heavy area are as follows; drink is cheaper than Ireland, food is about the same but fish (local produce and recommended) is dearer than Ireland.
