Went there with my partner, and tbh you don't even have to have experienced real thai food to be disappointed with the dishes. We don't understand the positive reviews, maybe we just didn't come at the right time... Though it would mean a huge inconsistancy issue... Anyway, if you still decide to go there, please just stick to the currys, I THINK they are okay, but avoid the fried rice and the chicken satay. We did not have to wait hours as other reviews have stated, but there were only 2 tables.
Here's a breakdown of what we ordered : chicken satay : dry, testless and cold, the peanut sauce kind of saved it papaya salad : fairly nice, thought it could use more fish sauce tom yum goong (soup) : tasted nice, though the bits of lemongrass were a bit annoying IMO pad phak choy (stir fried pak choi) : was ok, average Stir fried glass noodles : never had this one before so I don't know how it is supposed to really be, but it was a bit dry, very little meat, expected something a lot more tasty knowing thai cuisine Spicy fried rice : my parner's dish and it was the worst fried rice we've ever tasted, it is supposed to be spicy as written on the menu, but it was quite blend. Everything was mushy especially the rice and the cashew nuts. We are sure that it was just reheated in the microwave (as most dishes there maybe, we even heard the microwave beep multiple times). We didn't finish the dish, unfortunately. It was...
Read moreThe food was good, but donât expect spicy meals. If Someone ask me about the food- I would give 4 stars, but if someone ask me if there is real thai food (which has spicy and hot dishes) - I would say 2. Just because the place was nicely arranged and dishes were pretty tasty- but not spicy-I m giving 3. Additionally the service was not focused on their responsibilities. Waiter collecting the order was informed I like spicy and thatâs why we came here and I ordered two chilli signed spicy deal- he did not say anything they really donât have spicy. Also I asked about the stitches I didnt get on first time ask. Our waiter was chewing the gum and not reacting so much for our needs. When the dish came I tried and it was very very mild. I asked for chilli sauce. After 10minutes of waiting I went again to waiters and asked again with saying itâs not spicy- I would like to ask for extra chilli sauce. I received mild red sauce with some seeds of paprika, maybe a little spicy. But in all around other places you can get spicy sauce and dishes, not here. At the end, when paying- another waiter (the same who was asked first time for chilli sauce) asked me if food was good. I said yes, but I was expecting⊠(and he finished: âmore spicyâ) and I said yes and wanted to continue my true feedback- he didnât care because started conversation with...
Read moreIt was disappointing! I ordered the Souki Yaki soup which states on the menu it is a spicy soup with chicken, prawns, veg and noodles. I received squid and prawns instead, and it had egg which is an ingredient I don't like to eat, especially in soup. I'm not a fan of squid either, and if this was stated on the menu, of course I wouldn't have ordered it. As for my husband's meal, he ordered the pad Thai with both chicken and prawns but only received chicken at first, then when we mentioned the missing prawns they took his plate away and returned it with only prawns. When we addressed this to the owner she only said that my soup was a seafood soup and then went back to watching TV. The waiters said the same about the soup being seafood but then I told them they should change the menu as it clearly says chicken. Also, why would seafood soup have egg in it?? Also, not spicy at all! The service was disappointing as they were more engaged on their phone and the owner too busy watching The Voice on TV than caring about what we had to say. Such a shame for a touristic area...
