Red Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Poor customers service. but the food is amazing. Me and my friends often go to Red Restaurant and we are always satisfy about that one waiter who always take care about his customers. But today we were served an entry who was served at the end of our dinner that's the first one. Secondly as we always pay separately like we always do a waitress named "Pooja" was bothered about it and first of all when she came to give us our food she didn't even apologise for the huge lateness about the entry which was very strange because the restaurant was literally empty and when we were paying we told her that we were paying separately but she still manage to count everything together . My friend was paying for his brother and I was paying for me . He was confused at first and told her that there's an error on the receipt because he thought he was paying for everyone but the waitress didn't bother to listen to him and she said "You have a phone right? Go on the calculator and do the addition" instead of telling us that she counted everything together. I paid for me and my friend paid too at the end of the discussion she said "Next time when you come back and pay separately go take separate table for each one of you" with a direspectful tone . I told her that " if we go to a Restaurant with a group it's to have a nice time together and for example if a couple pay separately would you put them on separate tables?" I didn't like that customer service at all I don't even know how she managed to be employed but I think you should get her a better training for this kind of incident. Does it mean that we are teenagers we shouldn't be respected? We are paying like everyone in this restaurant we should get the same amount of respect and customer care as we are adults because to be honest with you that customer service...

✅The young waitress was very polite, sweet and accommodating at all times. Top notch service.

My Chicken Satay was not fully cooked but they replaced it and the chef offered me nems while I waited. The satay was ok but you have to really soak them in sauce to get a rich nice taste!

✅The Cajun Chicken I had was gorgeous, extremely soft and the portions were very generous! I loved it! I wish it could pack some more intense tastes though.

👎My fiance had some beef Bavette which wasn't great, I have to be honest.

✅The salad was really spectacular, but the fries were so so.

🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍Later on as dessert we had the BEST CHEESECAKE I ever had in my life! Extraordinary taste layering and complexity, freshness, intensity, textures incredible! If you like real gourmet food you'll love this!

WORLD CLASS dessert by chef Zaafir who came to have a chat with us at our table and offered us to taste another incredible dessert! Shockingly good again!

I wish their main dishes were as stunning as their dessert, but I'm sure they'll improve on it, I'll be back to give it another shot 😎👌

I dont always leave reviews unless the service is amazing or downright disappointing. This was probably the worst service I received in my many years going to hundreds of restaurant.

I ordered their lamb dish which did not taste good at all. I called upon the server to politely clarify whether it was indeed lamb or beef and instead of simply telling me, she went on defensive mode and said "We have served this gor 7 years and we know". The body language she showed, her facial expressions and how fast she turned her back was the opposite of great customer service.

Foodwise was nothing great. Tom Yang soup was nearly rs400 rupees and had fish skin floating. The service was so disappointing. Never...
