La Terrasse — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

A small cosy restaurant, one of the few decent ones open on a Sunday in Grand Baie. Stumbled across this place on a quiet Sunday, and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately, service was not the best, as we were seated and not given menus and had to ask for these, whereas guests after us were given right on arrival. We also had to wait quite a bit sometimes when we asked for plates, cutlery or for other requests. Once the food arrived, we were amazed by the quantity and quality served. Favourite is the Octopus salad, it's a must 💯

As for mix grill, in bbq section, we expected bread but it came with rice, so maybe ask(we didnt) before ordering for other menu items too. First Timer.

Atmosphere was cosy 👌 Felt no rush or anything. Staff were welcoming and nice 🙂 Food also was very good and matches the price points 👌The food presentation was very good too ✨ To remember, parking is limited, no dedicated parking so we have to park just in front of the restaurant or a bit down the road on the bus stop and walk like 1min. the menu items are served by portion for one person so if you are in group and thinking of sharing, be careful.

Poor Experience – Wouldn't Recommend

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The customer service was poor, and the service was extremely slow. Despite arriving first, other people were served before us, which was frustrating.

After waiting for over an hour, we decided to cancel our order, but the staff insisted we take it as takeaways. Once we got home, we noticed one of the boxes was only half full, while the other was full. On top of that, we ordered one fried noodles and one fried rice, but both boxes contained fried rice instead.
