At first, I was a little sceptic of trying there.. There is no marketing and big advertisement of the menus there, like other restaurants do.. But the warm welcome changed everything.. The staff are very polite and helpful .. When the dishes came, my nostrils were smelling heaven.. The good smell of spice coupled with the visual of it... And when you taste it, you forget all your previous experiences with pure indian food.. It was sooooooooooo very relishing and good, and if like me you enjoy hot food, ull love the chilli chutney.. This restaurant is a Pandora box of the tastiest Indian food at proximity, not very crowded... So you can enjoy quality time and good food and all that with some soothing songs in the background... It creates this calm atmosphere.. Bonus point: all this at a competitive price. If you don't know from where to start, try these: Chicken lollipops Seek kebab Murg Tikka Prawn Karai Mutton smthng smthng, i forgot the name Naaaaaannnnsssss topi Dhal makhni Carrot halwa (the very best ever 😍) I am definitely going again Just found an easy spot where i can enjoy quality indian food, at my own pace, no...
Read moreI've had chilli babycorn as starter, kadhai paneer and a kofta curry as main course along with 2 naans (6) and 2 coconut lassi. We had Panipuri was a (free) entry. We shared among 3 of us, it cost us approx. Rs 1400. Rs 500 per person for a decent meal. There's a parking The bathroom was smelly and there was no toilet paper. 3.The hand wash dispenser is not hands-free. I liked the Panipuri The chilli babycorn was good but not spicy at all. Wish it was crispier The main courses were good as well. The interior needs some renovation. Appreciated the good and fast service Slightly expensive. The coconut lassi was good. (Unsweetened one) Liked the naans, was light. Though the portion seemed small. The seats are low and uncomfortable. Definitely...
Read moreWas so excited to try the food at The Indian Kitchen but was very disappointed by the quality of the food and poor service.
We waited more than 1 hour to have our starter and noticed that clients who came at the same time as us were already leaving by the time we got our 2nd starter.
Aside from the slow service, the food was DISGUSTING! The Indian Kitchen is by far the worst Indian restaurant in Mauritius. All the sauces were watery, fish had a strong smell and chicken was chewy.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Very...
