Great Delight Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Such a disappointment for a dining experience on christmas.

First, the service fell far below expectations. We were told to order prior to coming so that the orders do not take time. To our surprise we had to wait more than 2 hours, especially when the restaurant was almost empty!! My grandma also missed her meal time!

Second, the quality of the food was unsatisfactory. We received cold dishes. For the sizzling platter, it was not mentionned in the menu sent that it comprises of rice (and the rice was not even eatable) and when I told the cashier, he simply said that I should have chosen the other sizzling dish!!

While I appreciate the gesture of providing complimentary ice cream as compensation, it did not adequately address the poor service and subpar meal.

I believe every guest deserves a positive dining experience, but ours was a disaster and made us have a very bad time during christmas!

We will definitely NOT recommend this place. I have also requested the phone number of the manager/restaurant manager so that I can address the issue but they did...

We went there today. The waiters did not care for the clients. We order three starter dish but received only two. We had to inform the waiter, who came back with the third one a few minutes later. Same was forgetten in the kitchen. Order our main course and soft drink at eight and was served the soft drink at twenty to nine. All the soft drinks lack gas. After a complaint i received a new glass of soft drink and it was better. We waited for the main course and after some complaint we finally received it at half past nine. But it was amazing to see that some people who arrive well after us was served well before. The food was good but the sizzling we ordered was a bit burn. The waiter who served us apologized for the delay and explained to us that this was due to a shortage of man power as some employees have not turned up for duty. Had a terrible experience at the Rose Belle outlet .

Waiters ignore you as they were too busy gossiping in a group. Had to leave the table multiples time to ask for another drink or the serving as there was no one to assess us .

The food was not worth it and even had the inconvenience such as itchy tongue and throat after the consumption of their product .

Take too much to serve the food even when i had a reservation, i had to wait about 45 min to get the main dishes that i ordered and when i asked why they told me that the chef was on a 30 minutes break even though they just opened.
