Read moreBooked for my birthday during our stay at Constance Belle Mare. All of the restaurants at this resort are of a very good standard but the blue penny cellar stands out as the best among them.
The service was absolutely spot on, with a friendly and attentive server who gave us a great insight into the different options available.
Food was incredible. Innovative presentation with tasty tapas options to start, served along with a range of included bread and small canapes. Olive tapenade bread was fantastic.
For main courses, we selected the lobster risotto and a wagyu steak. The risotto was exceptionally good, with a great depth of flavour. The wagyu steak was outstanding, perfectly cooked, very tender and honestly among the best steaks we have sampled.
The sommelier presented us with a number of great wine options which were very enjoyable. Constance offer a great range of wines and the sommeliers are very professional and well informed.

Llevamos una semana hospedados en el hotel y no tengo queja de nadie por eso me ha sorprendido tanto el trato recibido de tan mal gusto y para un sitio como supuestamente era este restaurante o eso creíamos. Nada más llegar ya no les hizo gracia que eligiera otra mesa, en segundo lugar el listillo ,que supuestamente era el maitre, nos ofreció dos copas de champán de don perignon 200€ que mi marido le dijo que prefería vino. La no le vino bien tampoco.
Como fue , que trajo el vino que pedimos de 160€ y nos dejó la botella por abrir encima de la mesa me quedé alucinada! Continuamos con la comida bueno solo a destacar los panes y la carne. Yo pedí unas costillas de cerdo a baja temperatura y tuve que pedir que se las llevaran porque estaban más duras que una piedra. Lo mas feo del tema es que vino una mujer que iba de jefa , me trae el plato y un cuchillo y le digo con mi inglés que lo siento nos cuestión del cuchillo y le demuestro con el más afilado lo dura que está la carne. Por continuar nos cobraron dos veces el vino. No se despidieron y las formas cuando dijimos que nos llevaran el vino al restaurante donde iremos a cenar . En fin una pena.
