Do not use your credit card at this restaurant. The people in charge are dishonest and the people above them will do nothing to resolve your issue. I went to the restaurant for new years eve and paid for an expensive bottle of wine. I found out later that someone else at the table had already bought this bottle for us as a nice gesture. When we brought it to the attention of the waiter and the Capitan, they were able to verify from the other persons receipt that is was already indeed paid for. They then asked me for my card to issue a refund, but instead of a refund, they charged my card again. Since then we have been trying to resolve this with them for over 9 days. We've sent them photo copies of the receipts proving the problem, but they continue to lie and say the the other person did not pay for the bottle and that I bought 2 (within 5 minutes of each other on separate receipts).. So frustrating to get this type of run around from what we thought was a high end restaurant. Do Not Trust these people and definitely never give them your...
Read moreExceptional Dining Experience at Barco in La Paz - Feb 2025 There were many fantastic restaurants in La Paz, and Barco quickly became one of our favorites. We had the pleasure of enjoying both breakfast and dinner there, and we found ourselves returning for dessert multiple times. The menu was delicious, and the desserts were exceptional—especially the cheesecake. Leopoldo, our waiter for breakfast, was outstanding—so kind and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Each evening we were there, Javier and his team took amazing care of our group, making sure we were well looked after. They truly made us feel like family, which is why we highly recommend Barco and can't...
Read moreWe’ve dined at Barco three times since it opened. Always indoors due to cooler winter nights. Excellent fish of the day, but the calamari appetizer has been hit and miss. Recent calamari was big rings and stringy—definitely not fresh. They make the best seafood pasta we’ve tried in La Paz. The Milanese chicken is enormous. Meatball skillet is very tasty. Very friendly service. Shrimp soup was a bit stinky. American wine prices are high but that is typical. Local Nebbiolo they serve by the glass is excellent. Overall, prices are high, because it is located at a hotel, part of the new Hotel Indigo, an IHG property, formally Costa Baja.
I look forward to enjoying happy hour her on the...
