Visited Boyitacos right next door; also operated by Cafelix. A little unsure upon arrival as the staff was very relaxed upon greeting us. We were in search of margaritas on a 31’C day to cool down and their menu mentioned $120 peso margaritas, and we decided to stay. They are traditional Tex-Mex style margaritas. Heavily salted rim, very boozy taste and lots of fresh lime; delicious and possibly the best in todos santos.

Just a block up from hotel California, it’s well worth the hike uphill away from the crowd. Enjoy a fish taco under the palapa roof with fans and a margarita to cool you down.

We ordered French fries (Not frozen! Peeled and fried to order, and served with homemade ketchup.) and tacos and started chatting with the waiter, a very nice bilingual young man. Don’t mistake his relaxed behavior for unwillingness to serve. He was very kind and attentive when needed, and gave us much insight about the town.

The tacos arrived first; a chicken and fish. The chicken served with fresh grilled vegetables on top, and the fish served battered and plain served with with pico de Gallo, guacamole and salsa picante. Everything grilled over local mesquite wood, delicious and fresh.

We were very please we decided to stay as we were very happy with the margaritas, French...

We had breakfast here on a Saturday. Everything we tried was wonderful. It's quite common for a coffee shop to have either good food (if they have a full kitchen at all), or good coffee. Cafélix offers both. We felt like the flavors were unique to the place; for example the frijoles refritos were not just generic, they were distinctively Cafélix frijoles refritos. Everything we tried had that characteristic. It's a small thing, but it gives the place a feeling you might not encounter elsewhere, you know?

You should definitely try it if you're...

I went to this coffee house. I ordered a grande vanilla cafe latte, a slice of carrot cake, and a package of their coffee beans. The coffee was actually very good. The reason I gave a lower score was because they would not let me use the restroom because it was for customers only.... wait, I did buy stuff??? I was so confused and not sure if it was because I got my coffee to go. I left a little offended but moved on to my next location. I had thought of coming back for lunch but after that exchanged, I went...

Me encanto este resturante! We ate breakfast here every day, ordering a cappuccino every day and a different food item each time. The coffee is roasted and ground by the restaurant masterfully. We enjoyed the salsa verde, chorizo, and fresh fruits too. I can't recommend this place enough. The staff also knows a little English, which can be useful if you don't have a strong command of Spanish.
