I had a wonderful stay at hotel gallo azul. I booked a last minute (same day) trip to todos santos and I’m so grateful I got a room here!
Location This is the perfect location - it’s in walking distance to everything in the center of the town. It’s also next to a bus stop if you take the bus. I was a solo female traveler so I’m glad it was close to everything especially at night. I met some guests that were taking classes at hablando Mexico - that Spanish school is directly across the street.
Service EXCELLENT service. Also what is fun about staying here is when you’re in town and people ask you where you’re staying and you say gallo azul, they all respond “oh Alan’s place.” Glad we are staying at a local establishment. Alan is very prompt with anything you need via WhatsApp. I appreciated Gabriela very much. The hotel is connected to their pizza bar. So when you check in you walk up to the bar and then check-in. Also everyone in town said it’s the best pizza in town lol. You also get a coupon for a free margarita.
Rooms The room I would describe as minimalist with everything you need, which I like. My room was two stories. Had fridge, microwave, a little cooktop. Couch. Bed was very very comfy. AC, fans. There was a door code to get into my room. There is a side gate you can enter/exit through with a code if the restaurant is not open. There’s obviously noise because you’re connected to a restaurant but that’s to be expected. That didn’t bother me at all. The hot water in the shower was a little tricky. I sent Alan a message and they fixed it right away. It happened again and I sent another message. The WiFi wasn’t very good. It was spotty. It didn’t bother me as much since I wasn’t in the room very much.
Would recommend a stay here. Very safe. Friendly service....
Read moreLiked: - The hotel was in an incredible location to downtown and bus station. It was a beautiful place! The host was incredibly communicative on WhatsApp, but the check in was weird and not fluid. The free margarita was a great touch except it wasn't very good. The room was beautiful too, but the shower heads were horrible. The room was not quiet to adjacent rooms. It seemed like everyone struggled with the door locks so there was always banging going on everything someone went in and out trying to figure out. Small detail, but oddly annoying. LOL. I'd stay again, but I can't give it 5 stars.
Disliked · -Noisy Rooms -Weird door locks -Uncomfortable shower head -Hard to complain about a free margarita, but it wasn't good, so kinda sorta wasn't worth it. LOL. -Worst WIFI EVER!!! We couldn't figure out how to get a good signal with their 6 different options. I'm assuming they have multiple access points with signal...

The courtyard with the heated pool is absolutely stunning filled with lush vegetation and we enjoyed hanging out there. The adjoining pizza restaurant is excellent. The hotel is located right in the downtown area of Todos Santos so walkable...
