Ciao — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

This a BREAKFAST review for Caio (within the Hard Rock resort). This is a buffet with chefs cooking made-to-order eggs/omelets.

What we liked? This is the ONLY breakfast spot that 1) makes fresh smoothies to your taste - you choose the ingredients and they blend the smoothie just for you, and 2) offers mimosas everyday for breakfast. They offer the traditional mimosa made with fresh squeezed orange juice or a few other fresh squeezed juices you can use to make your mimosa.

What else should you know? There are lots of VEGETARIAN and VEGAN breakfast options, including greens for salads. You will also find PESCATARIAN options (they offered smoked salmon most days). If you don’t see fish but have that dietary requirement, you can ask to have them cook you a piece of fish and bring it to your table.

They offer GLUTEN-FREE bread at the bread station. Fresh squeezed/pressed ‘green juice’ is available every morning.

What else did we like? There is a variety of foods from the traditional western breakfast foods to traditional Mexican breakfast to east Indian foods. There is both indoor and outdoor seating unlike at the other breakfast restaurant (the Market). If you eat outside be prepared for flies to join you! Some tables have fewer of these pests. We simply ‘chose’ a table that appeared to have the fewest flies dwelling there. Despite the flies, the outdoor dining was enjoyable for us.

What was our experience with the wait staff? The hosts and wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Shout out to our favorite server, Eleazar! We also appreciate Anna and all of the other servers. I don’t remember the hostesses names but I remember the music groups that were on their name tags so shout out to ‘Camila Cabello’, ‘BTS’, and ‘Ariana Grande’ - 😂 I especially appreciate the man who made our smoothies. He actually remembered us and our special order each...

The food and service were top notch! Antonio, our server, was the best! They started us off with some bread. We had calamari for appetizer, which was okay. Main course was pizza and pasta. Pizza was great! Pasta left something to be desired. Antonio got us great drinks and a dessert platter which was yummy....

Amazing experience overall!!!! Our server was so kind and very attentive. Service in general was very fast and all of the staff are so helpful. The menu options were amazing and so so tasty. I loved the dessert options- we got one of each!!...
