Wow! Our concierge recommended Ilios for a great place to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We had no idea just how perfect it was. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was something special. The atmosphere, decor, and view alone are worth the visit. The host took a note about my gluten allergy, which several restaurants have done in Cabo, but then did nothing with that info. We sat on the patio watching the sun set over the arch. Soon, our fabulous waiter, Juan, introduced himself, immediately acknowledged my allergy, and continued recommending dishes that I could enjoy, all of which I tried and loved! Highlights are the Greek salad, crab cake, musaka, and flourless chocolate cake. Every member of the staff was pleasant and helpful and just seemed like they loved being there. The manager visited our table twice to see how our experience was, and we happily detailed our delight. We were just a party of two but they were serving numerous groups and had two large reservations later that evening (41 and 56 people!). Absolutely phenomenal experience at Ilios in Cabo San Lucas. From the moment we arrived we were blown away not just by the beautiful ambiance and delicious food but by the unmatched service we received. Huge shoutout to Moises and Samie our servers for the night. These two were on another level You honestly do not see service like this anymore especially in the States. They were constantly attentive literally standing by and watching for even the slightest signal from us so they could act immediately. Every detail was taken care of with precision and genuine care. The food was fantastic! Every bite was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The music set the mood just right and the DJ was amazing creating a lively and fun atmosphere! They even had us break plates which was such a fun and unique touch that really added to the whole experience. The manager also came by several times to check in which just shows how committed the entire team is to delivering an exceptional experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Ilios for my friend’s bachelorette deserves to be shared so others are aware.

From the start, the service was unacceptably slow. When our food finally arrived, one of the plates had a hair in it. When we brought this up politely, the staff accused us of putting the hair there ourselves; no apology, no replacement dish, no effort to make it right.

After that, the service only got worse. Our table of 11 was actively ignored while staff prioritized other tables, particularly white foreign guests. This behavior made us feel unwelcome and disrespected.

To make matters worse, the host staff at the front were rude and dismissive. They refused to take a simple group picture, despite the restaurant being nearly empty at the time.

For a restaurant that markets itself as an upscale dining experience, this was the opposite of what one would expect: slow service, no accountability, and a complete lack of hospitality.
