I ate here in late August or early September 2021, with my wife. We have passed by here a few times and finally decided to give it a try. This place has a lot of potential, but just falls short. We were arrived, there was only one other couple. The place feels clean and wide open. We were promptly greeted and taken to a table. Service was very slow, especially as more people started to arrive. The bar tender was the server and drink maker for the whole place. They quickly got overwhelmed. A lot of older American tourists or temporary residents arrived. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't excellent. In fact, it really isn't memorable. I do remember it being over priced by about 20-25% due to slow service, and quality and taste of the food. If you are looking for something different and tired of all the same old places up and down the strip in Rosarito, give this place a try. We will probably give it another chance in the...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to dining at this Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. The most authentic Mexican dish on the menu was tacos with beans and rice, but when we tried to order them, the waitress told us they weren't serving tacos that night.
We were forced to choose from their more expensive options, which didn't even seem traditionally Mexican. We ordered ribeye and salmon. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive, and when it did, the meat was almost inedible. To make matters worse, they didn't even have hot sauce or enough tortillas.
For a pregnant woman with cravings, this experience was especially disappointing. The bill was $125, which felt outrageous considering we left still hungry. Afterwards, we found a taco stand and spent only $10 on delicious food. If you want a truly satisfying Mexican meal, go to Karnes en su...
Read moreThanksgiving dinner for 645 pesos was so looking forward to it since I am single with adult children and elderly father unavailable. I discovered my meal would include turkey “cartilage” (per the waitress) and turkey wingtip fat. This could have been okay but I had to resort to using my cell phone flashlight to see my food so I would’nt swallow the bones/cartilage included in my turkey dinner. In the past I have always enjoyed my food, ambiance and quality- was it because I came alone that they served me subpar good? I hope the children eating with their parents next to me aren’t served the “cartilage” they may choke. Luckily I was able to discern food from carcass. Oh and my bread was burnt-do I look like I deserve this kind of treatment. I’m a happy person. NOT a happy...
