Small and artisanal coffee shops usually set themselves apart with quality and customer service. I can appreciate that they take pride in their products, but the customer service shows this place’s disrespect for customers.
Was in town for vacation and stopped at this place for a quick drink twice. Once in the night time and the next day in the morning. The first experience did not go well as the drink the barista recommended was not at all what was expected. It was a berry fruit iced tea that came pre-sweetened and tasted of applesauce. I asked if there were something he could exchange the drink for seeing as it was his recommendation and it was, in my opinion, awful. He responded that he already charge me for that drink and could not give me any replacements. Stating that he had already rang it up and overall didn’t seem interested in customer service. The next morning I decided to give them another chance, assuming that their night staff wasn’t necessarily the best or tired.
This morning I saw that it was the same staff as the night before, but decided to give them another chance. I ordered an iced macha tea with soy milk. The drink seemed to taste good: it had a very creamy slightly sweet and fresh flavor. I could tell that they took their time in making the beverage but, having been vegan for a year I could easily identify that they gave me half and half. I asked the barista to confirm if it was soy milk, she took a giant sigh and said it wasn’t. The cashier cane over to deny that I had asked for soy milk and that he already rang it up. I told that that I could not drink this beverage and offered to pay the additional cost for the non-dairy milk. The barista and cashier looked at me with such discontent to tell me that I would have to pay the full price despite it being their mistake. They refused to budge and I walked out (for the second time) having returned the drink, with empty hands, and...
Read more03/12/18 I was very disappointed with the service that I received the morning of March 12th. It seemed like the entire staff was in a bad mood for some odd reason, yet there weren't that many people there. Grabs me the lack of clientele brought depression upon them.
I ordered a simple latte and that came out a disaster. The coffee was hot, but it was extremely burnt to the point where there was nothing else you could taste except Ash and burnt coffee. Even trying to add sugar made it taste pretty bad. It seemed kind of odd to have a burnt coffee served to me especially since there weren't that many customers in the place and since it was about 8 in the morning as well. Mo's establishments would have fresh coffee at that hour.
They also normally heat up the brownies. My brownie was next to lukewarm. And by the time I had sat down it was pretty much cold. Pretty disappointing visit. Hard to tell if I'll ever...
Read moreFinally got a chance to visit this place on our way out of Rosarito. It was a late visit on a Wednesday at 9pm. They were one of the only places still open on the main strip. And I think the only coffee spot open. My husband ordered the iced vanilla latte and I got the iced chai. They were both really delicious. The girl who helped us was very friendly and attentive, she gave excellent service. We also ordered a delicious sweet treat, I forgot the name but they were carrot cake cookie sandwiches. We tasted one while waiting for our drinks. They were sooooo good that we ordered 5 more to go, lol! I loved the inside decor and the groovy vibe! This is going to be a mandatory whenever I'm...
