What’s there not to like about this hole-in-the-wall bar, Acua Baja. The bar may not be the largest, the most attractive, the most modern looking, or have the best DJ/VJ, but the bar has the biggest heart. It’s perfect and just right for all the numerous occasions I have had at this place.

Myself, family members and friends having been coming here since 2019. It’s definitely evolved. It would not really matter who was tending the bar or serving our food and drinks, Acua always worked for us. No complaints, hands down.

Our go-to seating is usually at the bar area (facing street) and sometimes at the tables by the window, depending on the group I came with. We’re always greeted immediately and once seated, we’re ready to be waited on. On a similar note, not all servers may have the happiest/friendliest character, but all servers have been attentive. Our encounters with all servers have always been favorable. I do want to point out, Acua had THE best server in town - Sandra! Besides her outstanding customer service, her positive and happy disposition, her eagerness in getting customers to let loose and enjoy, Sandra always showed she cared and loved her job. Horrible! It was a party of five and we all left disappointment. It all started when we asked for two sangrias. Ten minutes later the guy comes back and says they’re out of wine. My uncle then proceed to ask for chips and salsa, while my sister and I changed our drink order. We asked for a Michelada and Mango Margarita. It took another 10 minutes for him to let us know they’re were out of mango! I asked for no onions on my tostadas and no octopus on my taco. Well when the food arrived he had given me the wrong taco, and my first tostada had onion and my taco had octopus. The server comes back with my second tostada and THERES ONIONS, again! During the whole event he never apologized for giving me the wrong food or messing up my order twice. Worst of all was that we never received chips or salsa after asking a few times and while retrieving our plates he spills the food on my uncles pants!!
