Cypress — Restaurant in Baja California

We were excited to try Cypress in the Plaza Peninsula mall today and seeing how busy it was we thought for sure it was going to be good. Upon walking up to the restaurant you notice how it is brightly lit and has windows on three of the four sides. We decided to split a sandwich and upgraded to the combo which includes an agua fresca and chips/fries. The counter service was friendly and she repeated the order back to us correctly before handing us a number to place on our table so the food could be delivered. We waited for a table to open up and eventually sat down. That being said, it took a really long time for someone to come and clean the table off. Then it took another twenty minutes before we finally received our meal. The chicken was the thinnest piece of meat I’ve ever seen on a chicken sandwich. Just ridiculous. And we had to ask twice for napkins that never actually arrived. The taste wasn’t awful but the chicken had a yellowish color inside that we wondered about. The fries were decent and the ketchup had a chipotle flavor which I wasn’t crazy about. All in all, we won’t be going back. Excelente opción para desayunar o comer algo casual con calidad. Pedimos sándwiches, smashburgers y aguas de la casa, y todo estuvo delicioso. La comida llegó rápido, bien servida y con ingredientes frescos.

El sabor de la smashburger es top: carne bien cocinada, pan suave y balance ideal. Las aguas frescas de la casa también súper recomendables, naturales y bien preparadas.
