We had a very bad experience in one of our visits. This place has been a wonderful place for me and my family. We were very frequent customers. The waitress asked us if we’ve been in this place before then we mentioned that yes. Last time we were there I ordered chicharrón of pescado and they provided the item in the picture, the second time we ordered the same and they provided a different product, what we got was closer to fish nuggets. Let’s add some context we drove all the way down 4 hours just for this dish, and after getting something different I had to mention it, let’s be clear no one person in the world wants to be the one returning a dish, but just put on my shoes, my husband and I were dying for what we thought was chicharrón de pescado then this last time we didn’t. The waitress passively aggressively mentioned that she assumed we knew what I wanted since I mentioned I been there before, I repeat none wants to be that person, but after feeling like a delusional person I searched for the picture to what they said that what I ordered was not it, and they even mentioned if I wanted that, that it would be more expensive and we needed to ordered it by specifying weight, fish kind and cooking style (we didn’t do any of that the last time) we were so confused, frustrated and hungry!!!, so we accepted the price adjustment. Then after waiting the captain order he said 1kg, after frying it was not enough so my husband ordered salmon so the captain decided to close the kitchen for us mentioning the person in charge of the tacos was really busy, like what!!!! We went out of this place still hungry. Terrible management of the situation and very disappointing. This was very awkward and we decided to not return to this place. Which I’m really disappointed because I used to...
Read moreHaving previously enjoyed Villa Marina's Ensenada location, we were eager to try their new spot at Peninsula, and it did not disappoint!
Villa Marina continues to solidify its reputation as a top-tier seafood destination, and this new establishment carries on the tradition beautifully.
As expected, the seafood is the star of the show, with an impressive array of fresh catches and expertly prepared dishes. While their focus is clearly on the ocean's bounty, a delightful surprise awaits at the bar: the cocktails are absolutely amazing!
They are crafted with precision and creativity, offering a perfect complement to the rich flavors of the seafood.
The combination platters, particularly the fish fillets with octopus or shrimp, are truly to die for. The seafood is incredibly fresh, cooked to perfection, and the flavors are both delicate and robust. Each bite is a testament to their dedication to quality ingredients and skilled preparation.
Beyond the fantastic food and drinks, the service is consistently great. The staff pays lots of attention to detail, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Our server, Camilo, was particularly outstanding, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. Villa Marina at Peninsula is a must-visit for any seafood lover, offering an exceptional culinary experience that goes beyond just great food to include fantastic cocktails and...

The restaurant has exceeded my expectations. We arrived at 8:10pm (50 minutes before their closing time) and the service we got was excellent.
SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The waitress was so kind explaining everything to us and provided good recommendations for drinks (we got Pepito and Tropical lemonade). They made us feel comfortable. However, the manager's response to feedback could be improved.
INSTALLATION / ENVIRONMENT ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The interior decoration of the place is relaxed but luxury, cozy environment. The men's bathroom was clean with no graffiti, no trash on the floor and the sink area was dry and clean. The smell was good. Music was on a perfect level to enjoy the song to have a conversation without speaking louder. The playlist was classic and suitable for most groups of people.
FOOD ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had 4 dishes and 2 beverages. The overall presentation was great and the flavors was excellent. However, (for my personal taste) the aguachile de camaron is a bit salty but my brother can handle it with no problem. The size of the dishes was acceptable and similar compared to other places.
PRICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I consider this restaurant has a good price ratio per the service, environment and food quality provided. It is a bit more expensive than other sites but...
