I had been there years before. It was a favorite of ours then. Great food and service. But this time, Friday night closing time, it was a bit different. The food taste was about the same, tasty but it seemed to be not fully cooked this time as it was not hot. The fried rice seemed to be recooked or left over rice as it was bland and luke warm. Some the devein shrimp still had the black intestinal track. It worried me because shrimp intestinal tracks cary lots of bacteria and if not removed needs to be fully cooked. I removed it myself just to be on the safe side. The Tea was more on the bitter side than sweet. I felt I was overcharged since I ordered a Chow Main plate with a change on the rice from white to fried rice and a pitcher of tea and paid 44 US dollars. Did not notice at the time since they had closed by now and we felt pressured to leave since an Asian lady who seemed to be from management, and not our waiter, came and pour more of the remaining tea into our glasses as if to say, common hurry leave. Going into any restaurant before closing time is not the best advice but my son was really hungry and he loves Chinese food. We were far from our usual Chinese restaurant and felt we were not going to make it on time so we stop by this one as it is closer to the port of entry as we crossed. COVID guidelines here are on point. Every guest that walks in has to get their temp checked, sanitize the bottom their shoes before you walk in, wear a mask, etc. The tables were spaced out really well too.

So let’s talk about the food. They include a appetizer before you get started: shrimp chips, which I have never had and they were good! Also get the lemonade- it’s freshly made and really delicious.

We ordered the family style #1 for 3 people (but we were 4- portions are huge here) with bbq pork, orange chicken, grilled chicken, fried rice, almond chicken, beef and broccoli, etc. The service was quick and the food was nice and warm when it arrived.

The party I was with had really hyped up Chinese Food from Mexicali so I was excited to try out the first bite. It did not disappoint! It was so good! The customer service here is terrible be ready to be treated disrespectful and with malice. They ask me even before I ordered the food if what kind of payment was I going to use credit or cash? I told them that I would pay for my meal. During the dinner the meat came first it was decent flavored. The vegetable came at the end of the meal when we were already finished with the meal I also had a question about the beer and the hostess look at me like I was out of this world when It was time to pay she added a 15%tip with out my consent and wanted to add one more tip for the takeout order. again terrible experience.
