hacienda km 43 — Restaurant in Baja California

I went with 3 friends on a sunday evening. We ordered a ribeye steak, sushi, lasagna, and a pizza. The steak was ordered med.well and arrived bloody. My friend stated he does not want to return. The sushi was mediocre at best. My lasagna was thoroughly burned on the bottom and seriously devoid of flavor.... no ricotta , no pasta...the pizza was tasty and easily the best food we had. I ordered ice tea..i came with a sliver of ice that melted before i could add sweetner....the menu was a bit pricey, they add 5% fee to use a credit card..biggest drawback to this place is that food we ordered ,other than the pizza , was poorly cooked...

Mix of Mexican, American, sushi, pasta, a little of everything. Chips good, salsa decent but thin, margarita perfect served in a big Schooner gobblet mug. Fried zucchini was wedges with panko, better than expected. Pizza medium-thin & crispy. Holds up, good toppings, traditional pepperoni and ground sausage was a little greasy but good. Outdoor seating in large courtyard w/umbrellas or under shed roof or in an indoor Cantina. Traditional Mexican music. Daily specials or discounts. Cards accepted. Easy parking, can get busy; next...

Holiday buffet was decent.

1. Great pizza - special price on Mondays.

2. Fried chicken special on Thursdays - Breading wasn't flavorful, but the chicken meat was tasty.

3. Baby Back Rib special on Saturdays - Good flavor, but not a "go to" for BBQ. More of a once in awhile meal.

Service is always great and friendly. Large outdoor patio style eating area with good ambience, weather permitting.

Bar is cozy, but most of the chairs are hard wood and not comfortable. Hence, I usually get my food to go due to the...
