Ochuna Restaurant — Restaurant in Baja California

Ochuna had become our favorite restaurant in town, where we would go regularly for nights out, throw birthday parties, regularly get food delivered, and grab takeout. I've eaten here at least 50 times but I will not be going back after last night

We ordered to go food for 15 people to cater my birthday party , when we showed up they had completely forgotten the order. They said we could wait "about 20 minutes" to have the food (yeah right), but with guests arriving that wasn't an option. There was no attempt to offer a solution on their part.

They offered nothing in the way of an apology , nor did they even seem to care the position they left us in . To be honest they didn't even seem to care losing this large order and all future ones. I am very disappointed with the lack of service and total indifference from a place we considered ourselves regulars .

There are plenty of places to eat in town, and I'll take my business there in the future . The food is good but they completely lack any sense...

Revisit: 6/01/19 Unfortunately this once wonderful place has gone down in quality.

The food is no longer the way it once was. The pizza is burnt and soggy, don't know how that's even possible. The drinks are watered down and the lemonade is more water than lemonade. It seems that all of the ingredients are no longer fresh, and the taste of frozen food is evident. I'm embarrassed to recommend this place to anyone now. 6/26/17 From the moment you step in until the moment you leave, the atmosphere and the experience is one-of-a-kind. The waiters were not only courteous but they help answer questions such as "what do you recommend?"

The pizzas are in Gourmet 100%. The other dishes are fantastic and always tastes fresh. The drinks are also made to order which is fantastic because the flavor is phenomenal! For the area that it's in, you wouldn't guess that such a place would exist. Can't...

Service is excellent so be sure to tip well. Very little of the way of vegetarian options, however: cheese pizza and a salad. Be very clear about your dietary needs and Know that the dark sauce they serve with the bread has animal products in it (for what reason, only God only knows!). But again, the staff is accommodating and they speak pretty good English. I'd rate higher if the menu was better and will update this if that changes sometime...
