TACO-N-TODO Sonora — Restaurant in Baja California

The first impression I had when we arrived at the "Taco-n-todo" restaurant was that it wasn't quite right, because there weren't many customers. When we sat down we saw a bar full of ingredients and extra spices and this changed our perspective of the service. We each ordered roast meat, when they arrived it was the moment of truth, we tried everything and we were amazed, the handmade tortilla was very good, the delicious meat was very soft, and that's how I love meat, so for the moment everything was going well, until when the bill arrived, we realized that the price of the tacos was very high and we assumed that was why there weren't many people. LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST PLACES IN ALL OF TIJUANA! This place takes Sonoran Beef (Best In the World) and grills it up to perfection. The main draw is their iconic Costilla (Beef Rib) Taco. You can order it bone in or "Rasurado" (Shaved off the bone). They have an impressive salsa bar with something for everyone giving you the option of enjoying your beef as is or dressed to the nines. I really liked their "HASS" taco that is filled with Anaheim Chile and Cheese and your choice of beef : Sirloin or Arrachera (Skirt Steak). The "CARAMELO" is their QuesaTaco or Cheese Taco that you can top with your choice of beef. They also have a "Lorenza" (Tostada) which is crisped up and smoky from being toasted over the hot coals. 4.5-5 stars. Consistency is what lacks but when they are on point, it’s delicious! The rib taco is definitely the draw when freshly cooked and well seasoned. Can be tender at times and then tough to eat. Some tacos may be given more meat than others. Other options are also very good. Highly recommend the Lorenzo tostada with your choice of meat. Their aguas are also very good. Guacamole is not usually good. It’s weird looking and not really tasty. But the other chile selections and Peruvian beans make up for that. Definitely a try.
