When you walk in the kitchen staff all start to laugh like hyenas, stare at and gossip about you, you know the restaurant is great! -_-

Unfortunately, the initial feeling I had did not improve when the waiter came. When he approached the table he said, "we don't have a menu" instead of explaining how to access the menu online or explaining what they offered (given that the first 2 things i tried to order off of the menu were magically unavailable).

During the meal, the waiter never checked to see if we wanted to order more food or if we needed anything.

**I should note that later, an older gentleman, who I assume is the owner, waited on a table and his service and attitude was completely different than the waiter at my table. Despite the gentleman not being the waiter at my table he asked if me and my friend had ordered and even brought a sunshade to our table so the sun wouldn't be so harsh on our table. I wish I would have had him instead of my horrible waiter.

My experience of with kitchen staff and the waiter completely turned me off and I'll...

My husband and I had lunch here and loved it. We sat on the patio and even though it was a hot day it was cool on the lovely, shaded patio which has a fun, relaxing vibe. Our lunch was delicious: fresh fish, chicken enchiladas and refreshing horchata and jamaica. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Our server was responsive and helpful. The restaurant, patio and bathrooms were immaculate. It's obvious the owner takes a lot of pride in his restaurant. Son Jarocho was one of our favorite restaurants in Campeche. Our only regret is that we didn't discover it earlier, so we could have had...

What a jem! We had the chilaquiles de picadillo and one of their daily specials, a typical dish from Veracruz (I cant remember the name). Both were sensational, very flavourful and fresh. You can taste the quality of ingredients and the love and care. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, they took the time to chat with us, it’s not something you see very often. This place was nothing short of amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. This was one of our best meals during our entire trip to Mexico. Muchas gracias!!

If you are in Campeche and you want to eat real Mexican food you have to go to this place! I have eaten breakfast there. The food is really very yummy 😋! They have a small garden where you can sit and eat and relax. Very friendly staff! The owner speaks very well English. His English is better than mine. I will definitely come again!
