Chocol Ha — Restaurant in Campeche

I ended going here with a friend. The atmosphere and drink were excellent. The service and management were not good.

The reason being. I ordered a hot drink. The server bought me a frappe. I check with my friend about the order and he confirmed what I had said (he would have told me if I was wrong too).

Since the drink was already made I asked the waiter if he could give a discount since he said they would charge him if I changed my order. He went to the manager and they said 10% off the wrong ordered drink. I only accepted because I was with a friend and did not want to make a big deal about the mistake.

To be honest, everyone makes mistakes. I wanted to see how and if they would do better and they failed.

There is a cost to making a product or providing a service, that is understandable. When you make a mistake you should own responsibility and I feel like this was not the case with the management or server.

Bad service. I left it open to them to decide and believed it should have been 50% off the drink but honestly since I did not order it they could have just taken it back.

I did not make a big issue but yes, they deserve 1 star for this bad decision making and mistake.

Si eres amante del chocolate, este es tu lugar, primer sitio en donde pruebo un moka y se puede disfrutar el chocolate!

Atención de 20/10.

Probamos lo siguiente:

Moka caliente.

Chocolate con leche.

Chocolate con chile (base agua).

Champurrado frío.

Tisana de rosas.

Tamal de chocolate.

Sorbete de fresa con azúcar.

Todo esto por menos de $372.00 mxn.

Ahora sí comentario de cada producto:

El moka ya lo dije, se puede apreciar el chocolate sin perder el respeto al café, siendo un amante del café, me encantó que se respeten los dos sabores, este es EL MOKA.

Chocolate con leche. Pensarás, meh, un chocomilk, pues nada que ver, se siente el sabor del chocolate artesanal, es un acierto totalmente, no te arrepentirás.

Chocolate con chile. Se puede disfrutar un delicioso chocolate base agua con un toque de picor al final que hace que tome otras vertientes del chocolate, una experiencia que había conocido en eventos privados y aquí puedes disfrutar.

Champurrado frío. Andaba en busca de cosas refrescantes pero realmente creo que este se disfruta más caliente. Frío es delicioso, pero un chef me dijo una vez, si algo sabe bien frío, caliente debe saber mucho mejor (obvio no aplica en todo, aquí sí).

Tisana de rosas. Primer sorpresa. La tisana es delicada y muy refrescante sin estar fría, sinceramente te renueva, valdría mucho la pena si buscas algo refrescante sin preocuparte por su temperatura. Lo pidió mi esposa, lo pediré la siguiente vez.

Tamal de chocolate. Segunda sorpresa. Wow, pensarías, puaj, un tamal de chocolate, pues sorprende de forma muy agradable la textura y el sabor del maíz, es otra forma de ver este combo de cacao y maíz, en este caso convertido en chocolate, en tabasco tenemos el pozol así que no son ajenos en conocerse estos dos ingredientes. Un postre memorable y balanceado, no te empalaga.

Sorbete de fresa con azúcar. Menciono que con azúcar porque puedes pedir sin azúcar, o sea natural, o el servicio te hace muy buenas recomendaciones. Para días de calor, este es un acierto totalmente. Lo describo como el sabor de las fresas con crema sin la crema.

El servicio es más allá de lo excelente.

El lugar es mágico. Recomiendo el patio interior.

Nosotros llegamos como a las 20:00 y fuimos los primeros un viernes.

Te recomiendo lleves un presupuesto aparte por si quieres llevar productos, ya que venden una gran variedad de barras y productos de chocolate, además de otros como xtabentun, mieles, café, mezclas, y muchas cosas más.

A very good place to have breakfast or supper, or to relax with a good chocolate, coffee or natural fruit sorbet. They have the must delicious snacks and desserts: chocolate banana crepes, chocolate tamales or non-sweet tamales with tomato sauce... excellent!! They are experts at making you feel at home, the atmosphere is welcoming from the tables in the famous 59th pedestrian sidewalk, to the nice garden to sit in the back, not the mention the inside: nicely decorated tables with hand-made tablecloths, the little store with unique items... You can’t say you went to Campeche and didn’t go...
