Ordered two bagel sandwiches, two lattes and a Turkish Expresso. Waitress told us about their amazing rosca and that I can combo up with a latte. Sure why not...throw that in.
Latte was so so according to my girl (we had better plus they never brought me my latte). The rosca was personally not my jam and I am not the person to tell you what constitutes a great or bad one. The bagel sandwiches came next...what a disaster. I bite into my sandwich and thought I almost broke a molar/loosen a filling..but ended up choking and swallowing what was probably a bone..life happens. Took another bite and realized these weirdos put Mayo on breakfast bagel sandwiches. No....just no. Send them to Guantanamo Bay for that crime. They didn't disclose this on the menu by the way which is weird cause they disclosed everything else. Plus the bagel was just tasteless? It was so weird.
Well time to settle the bill...mind you never got my latte and when I saw the receipt saw that A. they never removed my original latte from the bill since I comboed with the Rosca B. never got my latte with the Rosca. Mind you that they keep changing waitresses. First waitress took our order another dropped off our food and a male barista dropped off our coffee. Slick. So had to explain to the new waitress to correct the bill since I didn't get what I paid for. They did correct it but had the feeling that they tried to pull a fast one cause my girl spanish isn't the best. So I would advise you to pay attention especially if you are not a native speaker cause they might try to pull a fast one.
By the way we took our unfinished food to go and after 2 mins talking about it outside we just threw it out. We spent a pretty penny on this. One latte, rosca, expresso and two bagel sandwiches 20 USD (no tip obviously) We hate throwing out food but this was a no brainer. Place is Basura with a billboard...
Read morePROS: Mocha Frappe was okay. I've lived in Cancun on and off for almost one year. I've walked by this restuarant so many times, the valet could easily identify me. They're very pleasant each time we pass by.
CONS: The same can't be said for the waitstaff. I asked for to go, I was given menu and shown to a seat. When placing my order, I reminded the waiter I would like to go food. He was seemingly displeased, and explained how I ordered with him to I have to eat it here. So, to avoid any confusion, I agreed to eat here. That's when I began asking for the table to be cleaned. After asking 4 times, the table still wasn't cleaned off. In fact, it never was while I was there.
Food wise, I came here seeking breakfast as made clear on the online info. I thought I was ordering a breakfast panini with cheese. Instead, I got a cold cut sandwich. My daughter ordered a roast beef croissant with only cheese and spinach. Her roast beef was dry and cold, while her spinach was hot, with melted cheese.
I will not be back here. The menu variety is poor, the service is poor, the price would be okay if there were better food. They don't even have a large variety of bread or pastries to be a bakery. There are other places, with 100^ Natural, Vegan friendly options. Just walk around the corner, or a street or two over. This place is...
Read moreI love this place and walk over almost every late afternoon post-dinner for the best cappuccino I have found in Cancun so far. As with most places I gravitate to, this place is always full of locals, and there's a very brisk pick-up thing happening curbside as well. Despite being on a really busy corner, it's still somehow comfortable and sweet.
I've also satisfied my sweet tooth a couple of times here and both the waffles with strawberries and the chocolate cake were yummy. The cake serving is rather large, easily sharable.
We are in Mexico, and the servers are for the most part Spanish speakers. Be prepared for this. I am unsure why this is, but for some reason the servers here seem to speak faster than anywhere else I've been. Be prepared for this in whatever way you need to, whether it's learning the language or bringing a phone to translate stuff. You'll be alright and it's worth coming here.
The mosquitos are also really bad here for some reason. If you're coming during mosquito hour, as I often do, either bring bug spray or ask the server. I got bit a few times and mentioned it and she brought me a bottle of natural bug spray (that worked) so I could sip my...
