THERE IS NO 2.5 STARS RATING THAT IS WHY I HAVE 3 STARS MY RATING FOR THIS IS 2.5
Beautifully decorated location. We have been to this location four times from the time it opened its doors in downtown Cancun.
I must say, lots of improvements are required considering that it is an international franchising in Cancun catering to Latin American clients and tourists,
The first time we went party of 4 that was two days after opening and our waiting time to be served was over one hour twenty minutes considering they were fully packed that is understandable.
Server all three times were attentive however they are attending more tables then they should, you ask for something it takes ten to fifteen minutes to arrive at your table and by that time you have almost finished you food. ( needs improvement )
The food was tasty I personally and omelette, order of onion rings, and mash potatoes and had all the juices they had on the menu the best one I liked was sunrise, drinking all the juices explains how much delay there was in food to be on our table,During this visit I wanted to ask for a manager to discuss issues but they were to busy.
Food review: fist visit. (Lunch time)
Omelet was great mesh potatoes were cold had to send them back onion rings were great juices were great.
Over all first visit was not fantastic but good considering how busy they were.
Second visit: (late afternoon closer to dinner)
Party of 2 this time the was a lesser crowd however the wait haven’t improved this visit was two weeks after they had opened the service quality by the staff was same attentive like last time I ordered the same omelet onion rings and hash brown scattered Weldon with an order of fries and my sunrise juice.
Food review: ( horrible) Food arrived the onion rings were totally messed up, I looked at it and a I asked my colleague what does he think about it and he just rolled his eyes.
I took a bite just to taste it and the oil that was to make them was contaminated with other food tastes ( tasted like bacon)
My fries tasted the same seemed like the oil that was used was not filtered that night as it is supposed to, omelette was ok but to oily could not finish,
Hash browns were not scattered or well don had to send them back, when the came back they were still the same ( not scattered nor well don)
I called the server and complained about the onion rings and the first question the server asked me which did not make any sense ( what is wrong with them) and I asked for the manager at that time the server replaced the onion rings and I asked the server does he now see what was wrong with the other one? He apologized and went to call the manager
( manager never came)
one of his associates showed up at the table and we informed him of the issue with our food, he apologized and left.
Third visit: ( late dinner )
This visit was with the party of two ,four weeks ( plus or minus ) after opening.
All the other facts remain the same as the previous two visits I will not get into the details will straight jump into food.
Food quality: ( improved)
I ordered a stake mashed potatoes fries to my surprise there was on mix food oder in my food ( they corrected the issue ) this tells me that they do take reviews by customer seriously however by the international standards IHOP has I do not believe it has met those standards yet.
I have one ore review but I will not waste any more time but simply say this , This IHOP is an asset to Cancun ( welcome to Cancun and please it is my humble request maintain the highest international standards that IHOP is known for.)
We will definitely keep on visiting this location to observe improvements and we see that improvements that are made, we will change our reviews and ratings...
Read moreDisappointing hot breakfast. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and well lit, there were 7-8 employees on the floor and I was one of 3 customers. They had the music playing at ear piercing volume. The service was slow and everything was cold when they brought it out. I counted 4 waitresses all dressed professionally but the person who brought my cold food to me was a guy wearing a white undershirt. The coffee was absolutely horrible. When it was time to pay It seemed that I was quite an inconvenience which almost caused the manager to get up from her breakfast to help out. The cashier said one thing to me: “how much is the tip?”. I said “nothing”. She ripped the receipt out of the machine and handed it to me saying nothing. Overall, a negative experience. I was happy to be...
