Casa de Nana — Restaurant in Cancún

We had our first breakfast in Cancún here. The restaurant was very close to our hotel. They sell local Mexican food with great service.

Pros The location is near the main street. It is close to the traditional market. The restaurant has good decorations. The lady is very nice, friendly, and kind. She allowed us to charge our phones while having our breakfast. Reasonable price and great portions of food. Temozon medio is tasty. Fruit salad is tasty. Sopa tortilla is excellent. They accept payment in cash or card. Entrance accessible for wheelchairs. Free wifi is accessible inside the restaurant. Free restroom. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Not to bad the food is really good. The service not to bad. If your expecting super fresh this isn’t your place. The food was from a day ago but in some weird way that’s why it taste good.

Grandma special is amazing. For $155MXN. But if your going to get a drink, it’s additional $35-$99 depending on what you get. Your better off just making it a combo for additional $40MXN. That will give you a coffee, Orange Juice and Bread. ☺️

The coffee was cold but other then that the food was delicious. Would I come back again? Maybe, but it’s not...

If you’re in Cancun looking for home cooked Mexican meals this is your spot! If you’re tired of tacos et all this place is perfect for you! On this day the menu the choices were chicken in poblano style sauce or steak strips with spinach and potatoes, two sides (rice, beans, chilaquiles, and steamed veggies), soup (chicken or noodle), mango agua fresca (with one refill) and it came with plenty tortillas.Taste was perfect, so yummy. The service is great, both of our servers were so sweet and prompt to attend us. I think this place captures the essence of Mexican fondas. Portions might seem small but we were stuffed! I will definitely come back again when in the area Si estás en Cancún buscando comida casera mexicana, ¡este es tu lugar! Si estás cansado de los tacos y similares, ¡este sitio es perfecto para ti! Ese día, el menú ofrecía pollo en salsa estilo poblano o tiras de res con espinacas y papas, dos guarniciones (arroz, frijoles, chilaquiles y verduras al vapor), sopa (de pollo o de fideos), agua fresca de mango (con un refill) y venía acompañado con muchas tortillas.Todo estuvo con sazón perfecta. El servicio es excelente, nuestros dos meseros fueron muy amables y atentos. Creo que este lugar captura la esencia de las fondas mexicanas. Las porciones pueden parecer pequeñas, ¡pero salimos llenísimos! Definitivamente volveré cuando esté...
