The food at Casa Tequila was decent, nothing extraordinary, and the ambiance is very traditional and charming. They also have live music, which was a nice touch. The musicians were very pleasant and hardworking—I was the only one clapping for them, but they truly deserved more recognition. They even offer to play a song for $100 MXN, which is a fair price. I asked them to play “Si Nos Dejan” and we really appreciated it. Unfortunately, the service from the staff was a huge disappointment. From the moment we walked in, we felt as though we were bothering the servers just by being there. Despite our efforts to smile and break the ice, they remained unfriendly and unwelcoming throughout our visit. It’s very disheartening to dine at a place where you don’t feel appreciated as a guest. I understand that the political climate can be tense, but that should never translate into stereotyping or cold treatment toward customers—especially in hospitality, where making people feel welcome is the foundation of the business. Overall, while the traditional setting and live music were enjoyable, the lack of warmth and professionalism from the staff overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Casa Tequila if you’re looking for a welcoming and pleasant dining...
Read moreThis place was recommended by a server in our Hotel when we asked about the restaurants around to explore the local food. The ambience of the place was very nice and cozy, and we also had high hopes (which crashed intensely later on) to get some good food. The person serving us was Rogelio (can’t forget his name). He was the rudest person I ever met. No sense of manners to talk and as soon as we told we are vegetarians his behavior changed and was not at all interested in serving us. He started to argue and explaing to us when we said that cheese was okay in our order but no meat. His words literally were- "I hope u know Cheese comes from Cow’s milk". We ignored his behavior for some time as we did not want to spoil our vacation. When we observed the other tables he was serving, he was talking and laughing with them. (Guess he was a racist psychopath) However, we just could not take it any further when he told us that 15% tip was required when he got us a copy of check in the end. We called and spoke to the manager on duty about all that happened, and he said that he will talk to him. THAT WAS ALL HE DID!!! The server again came to us and started babbling something in Spanish. We thought we will pay him 10% tip but then ended up paying only our bill as he did not...
Read moreBest place ever!! The food is amazing, the service is fantastic and the place is super pretty. They also have mariachis who play live music during a part of the night and if you pay them an extra they can play a song for you and your friend or couple on your table. We loved the place so much that we went over there 5 nights of the 8 nights we stayed. They are always making sure you are totally comfortable with the service and the food, worth every penny. During the days we were there I saw a lot of the same people coming back lots of the days, cause is one of the best places where I ate for sure. One of the nights they invited us a shot of tequila to all of us, they call it “tequila de la casa” and was really really good, no comparison with the typical brands, really good. Also, the place is right in front of a huuuuge outlet if you want to buy Mexican souvenirs with good prices! And if you walk about a street you’ll find more little stores , right next to the restaurant you can also find an Oxxo , a pharmacy and a huge supermarket! Just the right place. We’ll definitely be back every time we’ll visit Cancún. Thanks a lot for the...
