As I told Abraham, the manager, and Carlos, the Head Waiter, I am absolutely ASTONISHED that this restaurant does not have a Michelin Star! We have eaten at Michelin restaurants in America and Europe and this one rates as good as any, and better than some! (Note to Michelin reviewers: Correct this travesty!!!) From the complimentary amuse-bouche to the surprise complimentary truffles they gifted us for our anniversary, every dish was beautifully presented and a gastronomic delight. The service was impeccable, from the formal dress of the waitstaff to the timing of the courses and the synchronized removal of the cloches for a dramatic reveal. I actually gasped at the appetizer! The COVID protocols, while strictly observed, were still subtle enough to not detract from the atmosphere. The decor is unabashedly rich and ornate. If, however, this is your first foray into the Fine Dining Arena, you needn't be concerned. The staff will put you at ease and make you welcome. The proper utensils are provided for each course rather than a bevy of forks, spoons, knives, etc. scattered across the table. There was no rush to leave after dessert, allowing us to leisurely chat over coffee before requesting our bill. The Fantino is not to be missed when...
Read moreImpeccable. Every course was a beautiful surprise. The chef put his creative touch on each plate and centered our menu around what we were in the mood for. We originally walked past Fantino, but after finding out the steakhouse we had planned on dining at was closed, we turned back. Noticing our displeased posture, the greeter at Fontana asked what we were looking for and assured us that, although not on the menu, the chef could prepare the steak and mashed potatoes we were craving. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and carved through like butter. My husband's ribeye was well marbled and had intense flavor. Our veggies were steamed perfectly and nestled on top of a bed of freshly mashed potatoes with a garlic butter. We had previous plates of delicious and creative hors d'oeuvres. Each course felt personal. By the time we were through with dinner, the (insanely talented) chef brought us a sampler of delicate truffles, nesteld on a plate with a lit candle and the words "Happy Anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Meyer" written in chocolate. From the personal touches to the outstanding service, this experience was one that will go down in the books. Try this place. It is worth every...
Read moreFantino is the most magical dining experience that I have ever had. On our first night dining here, we met the head chef, Raul, who is one of the kindest human beings you will ever meet. My brother has life-threatening allergies to nuts. Chef Raul went above and beyond to insure that my brother could have an excellent and safe dining experience. The chef crafted meals that were pure art, and we were excited to see what dishes he would prepare for us each night. For example, for each visit we were given two amuse-bouche, and each dinner culminated with an array of petite fours, and roses and bonbons for the ladies. Our dinners were magnificent each time, and we ate at Fantino four times in one week. My favorite meals include the filet mignon and the cornish hen, and the tiramisu was the best dessert that I have ever tasted. In addition, the service was impeccable. Our waiter Oswaldo, Williams, and the rest of the Fantino staff are outstanding professionals. I am still dreaming of my dinners at Fantino two weeks later, and I can not wait to return to this restaurant on my next...
