My recent dining experience at Taboo restaurant was nothing short of remarkable, leaving an indelible impression that beckons for a return. Nestled in a location that boasts an outstanding view, Taboo sweeps you into an ambiance filled with an infectious energy, partly thanks to the fantastic DJ who sets the mood just right.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the culinary delights that Taboo serves. The seafood platter was a testament to the chef’s ability, featuring an array of fresh, succulent, and perfectly seasoned seafood. Each bite was a celebration of flavors that danced on the palate, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients.
Equally impressive was the rack of lamb. It was cooked to perfection, offering a tender, flavorful experience that simply melts in your mouth. The skillful preparation and presentation of the dish demonstrate the kitchen's commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of flavor profiles.
Beyond the exquisite food, the vibe and view at Taboo are unparalleled. Dining with a panoramic view that captures the essence of the surrounding area adds a layer of enchantment to the meal. Coupled with the ambient tunes spun by the DJ, the atmosphere is electrifying and makes for an unforgettable dining experience.
While the drinks may not have hit the same high note as the food and ambiance – lacking somewhat in taste – they were decent enough not to detract significantly from the overall experience.
The service at Taboo deserves a special mention. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, contributing greatly to the pleasant atmosphere. Their professionalism and warmth ensured that every aspect of our meal was taken care of with a personal touch. My server offered to take pictures of us during dinner and outside on the dock with the amazing view.
In conclusion, Taboo restaurant is a destination worth visiting for anyone seeking a dining experience that combines excellent food, a mesmerizing atmosphere, and breathtaking views. Despite the drinks falling a bit short, the overall experience was so impressive that I am already planning my next visit. Taboo is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey that tantalizes the senses and leaves you...
Read moreThis is definitely more of a club that caters to those willing to spend more money than it is a restaurant. There were models standing around dancing quite literally everywhere. It gave me 2000’s Abercrombie vibes considering every single one was standard attractive and thin. The casting for their models is definitely not inclusive and it’s very weird. It’s dark to the point the wait staff uses flashlights to show you your food. It’s loud so it’s difficult to talk with your servers at all. You will be eating and then suddenly the lights will dim even more, the music will turn up even more, and models will come out with sparklers and shots or some other spectacle every 15 minutes it feels like. I will say the live saxophonist was very talented and fun but at one point he came out while we were eating and the models tried to get us to stop eating to stand and dance with him. They were visibly annoyed when we declined to do so because we were, you know, eating…at a restaurant…where we came to eat. Anyway, it was evident that they were much more enthusiastic about making sure those spending more money or have a larger group could have the beach views or the couches. Which is fine, it makes sense to an extent. But the rest of us are in the dark where the only view we have is of 92838 staff standing around and our menu is the same expensive one as theirs. I would also complain that the wooden chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. The food is probably the most disappointing part. The drinks were just fine. The dessert was just fine. The pita, appetizer, and entrees were all oily and tasted like absolutely nothing but char. Every single thing on the plate is charred and tastes burnt. And for that experience, it was criminally expensive. For 2 cocktails, 1 appetizer, 2 fish entrees, and 1 dessert (plus an included gratuity) the total was $230USD. Our servers were kind and pretty quick. Although towards the end of our meal things slowed significantly and it took 20 minutes to get our check. All in all, I’m sure this place is the perfect spot for some people. If you’re fine with spending money for a show and dance and not for food then by all means this is your place. It just was not it at all for me. I...
Read moreBeautifully decorated atmosphere! I've never visited this restaurant before and I can say that it was very sexy for first dates, birthday parties and the way they celebrate with shots, food presentation on certain items and birthdays are really cool. BUT very over priced especially their ravioli dish which should have been an appetizer NOT anyone's main dish. It was literally 4 ravioli and each were $10. These were not large ravioli or super stuffed ravioli they were normally stuffed and in size for $40 and had the nerve to have 3 decorative leaves on it. I was highly disappointed with my meal especially when everyone else's looked AMAZING! To add insult to injury I told the server that I didnt want to eat that because my 5 year old niece could devour that and he said that's the dish what do you not like about it? I said I'm hungry and I'm not paying $40 for 4 ravioli. The manager comes over and asked the same thing but added that it's already cooked! What do you want me to do!? I said I don't know what your going to do with it but it's not touched and I'm not paying for it. She basically told me I ordered it and you HAVE to eat it! Lol I've been in restaurant management for way to long for this young lady to try to force me to eat and pay for something that doesn't even look appetizing. She tried to sell me a salad WITH the ravioli lol smh. I said I'll take the salad but you can keep the ravioli. It wasn't on the check at the end and that's all that mattered. The free salad they give was amazing. The drinks are made delicious and pretty. Others food was great and was delicious my guest said. It's definitely a Vibe besides trying to force me to eat something that looked like 4 macaroons in sauce. I wouldn't visit this location again. My money didn't feel appreciate especially when our bill was $1750. They could have just NICELY offered something else but the server and managements Vibe made me just want a salad.
I can't forget the ladies room! Amazing, clean and beautiful. I can sit there all day. It's really hot with seating on the deck but inside has good air flow and the restaurant bathroom has great air...
