The Club Grill & Jazz Supper Club — Restaurant in Cancún

An unforgettable and unique experience! We have been several times to the Ritz Carlton Cancun and it was our first time at the Club Grill. We had an amazing dinner with an exceptional service. The staff is very friendly and obliging. We called in last minute to postpone our reservation 30 minutes and it was no problem at all. After a warm welcome we were seated at a very nice table from where we were able to enjoy the lovely live Piano music. We ordered two out of the three recommendations from the waiter and didn’t regret it at all - it was delicious. I have to admit that I had the best duck dish I’ve ever tasted - being European, I already had eaten lots of different duck dishes. The waiters were very attentive and every single wish we had was satisfied immediately. At this point I have to point out the restaurant manager who is really a lovely, adorable and at the same time extremely professional person. It was not only because of the delicious and remarkably exquisite dinner that we spontaneously decided to make another reservation for two days later, but also because of the excellent service and the extremely friendly restaurant manager. We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here based on the great reviews it received. It turned out to be the correct decision. The restaurant is very elegant, the service is superb, and the food is very good (not great). Between the two of us we had the foie gras (great but very little), corn soup (outstanding), striped bass (overcooked and/or not very fresh fish - coming from Baja California), and soufflé grand marnier (great texture but too little grand marnier), and a bottle of Pascal Joliet (lovely Loire wine). Considering the very satisfying overall experience our evening provided what we paid was quite reasonable (cheap by New York prices.) We find almost all Cancun restaurants, especially those on the Lagoon, unbearably noisy during dinner time. We were happy with the low level of agreeable recorded music that was played until a piano player, accompanied by a bass player, took over. He was good but very loud. I know, many diners commented favorably about the live music but we’re not going back...

In my opinion, this is the 'fancy' restaurant at the Ritz so if you are celebrating or planning a special night, this place is it! Amazing decor, excellent service, and wonderful food. My daughters both said it was one of the best steaks they've ever had! We where there on a Thursday and there were two gentlemen playing the piano and sax which really added to the ambiance. The night before, we checked in about gluten free options and we were assured they would accomodate us and even told us about the gf dessert they had. We enjoyed cocktails, fresh bread (they brought out gluten free bread for our daughter), amuse bouche was even gf, steaks, soup, sides....all amazing! For dessert, we ordered the chocolate souffle. We had told them we were celebrating our anniversary so they also brought out sweet treats for that as well as roses for the ladies at the table and gluten free petit fors bits for my daughter!
