The places we stopped were nice but as an American, our tour guide Ave was insensitive to translating Spanish to English. He often communicate MANY things to the Spanish speaking but when translating his long conversation, his English was short. At our points of interest he spoke SOOO fast explaining switching quickly from Spanish to English (understanding 20% of what he said). There was too little time to walk around independently. He tried to cover SO much (not always important), SO quickly. At times he was quick to get frustrated when you weren't doing EXACTLY what he wanted. He pushed his religious beliefs, asking us to participate in a Maya idol ceremony after lunch. However, my biggest issue as an American, was his difficulty to understand (talking so EXTREMELY LONG, FAST) and his insensitive to those who don't speak...
