🚨SCAM ALERT🚨 (Read until the end) The drinks were enjoyable, scoring a solid 9/10. However, the food left much to be desired – the portion sizes were small for the price, the fries were cold, and the burger patty was bland and dry. The shrimp dish was passable, but overall, the dining experience only deserves a 3/10. Additionally, having the waiter clean the table while we were still eating was somewhat annoying.
To make matters worse, the most disappointing aspect of our time in Cancún occurred at this restaurant. Upon receiving the bill of approximately 718 MXN, we requested to pay by card and inquired about adding a tip using the card machine. The waiter assured us it was possible, swiftly took our card, and proceeded to select a tip higher than what we intended (5% more) before prompting us to sign with our finger on the machine display. Upon noticing the discrepancy, we questioned the final amount, to which the waiter hastily confirmed. Only after raising our concerns and demanding clarification did the waiter reluctantly agree to double-check the bill. Upon his return, he brought the 5% difference in cash inside the bill holder and quickly ran off.
In summary, while we intended to leave a decent tip, the waiter's attempt to manipulate the situation for personal gain was both disappointing and unprofessional. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson learned for him in the importance of honesty...
Read moreSpent a wonderful day at the beach but decided to grab an early dinner before heading back to the apartment rental. Micheladas is positioned right off the main highway on the busy roundabout that allows you to get to the roadway leading to the beach. It's somewhat of a noisy area, but that just adds to the vibrancy. The waiters were plentiful, welcoming and attentive. Our server Moises (Moy for short, he tells us) was fantastic! We wanted to have a drink before dinner and he was wonderfully accommodating, enthusiastic and knowledgeable in making recommendations for our palettes. I had a Mangorita which was lovely and my husband, who wanted to try something "different" in a dark beer, ordered a Lagrimas Negro (Black Tears) and he was not disappointed! When we were ready to order our meal (a large Semaforo Pizza), Moises was right with us. The food came out piping hot and was very delicious. When we explained that we would be in town for a month, Moises made recommendations for must-see areas, and when he saw that we were also trying to improve our Spanish, he was great to share a few colloquial terms, and engaged with us excitedly. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this...
Read moreMy husband and I are both big michelada fans. We found this place on Google because we were on the hunt for a place that would do good micheladas outside of the tourist zone. We figured since this place had good reviews and "micheladas" was literally in the name, surely it must be promising. We were not let down. The micheladas are great here! Prices are very reasonable too. We had other drinks as well such as a Miami vice, a Pina colada, a drink which featured a banana, and a drink that had cucumber in it. All of them were fantastic! All drinks as served in one liter sizes (as you can see in the photos) and everyday they had a different "daily special" (as seen in the photo). There is no happy hour, it's just an all day special for whichever day of the week it is, which is especially nice. During our vacation we came here 3 times and everytime had excellent service! The environment was chill and they had a live band every night that we went, the band tended to come on around 9 or 10pm I believe. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. We...
