Grand City Hotel — Hotel in Cancún

Don't hesitate, book this place if you're looking for a budget friendly option in downtown! We accidentally booked the wrong dates at our resort and needed a place for the night we landed. Our requirements were that it be convenient, clean and comfortable. This place blew us away! The room smelled as clean and fresh as a 4 star, the sheets and towels were embossed with the hotel name and logo, the rooms were huge with vaulted ceilings and they even provided plastic cutlery which was so unexpected but amazing since we grabbed some food on the way! As for the noise complaints, totally true. There is a heavy metal bar just up the road and the live bands are loud but they close at 11pm so unless you're an ultra early bird or have young kids this isn't really an issue. Lo peor, no lo recomiendo para nada, mis amigos ocupamos una habitacion para 3 personas, nos hospedamos solo un día y para el amanecer del día siguiente, despertamos confusos y muy tarde, puesto siempre nos levantamos muy temprano y sobre todonporque teníamos que llegar a tiempo al aeropuerto y nunca llegamos, porque nos dimos cuenta que habían entrado a nuestra habitación en la madrugada y nos robaron todos los aparatos electrónicos (laptop, tablet, celulares , plancha de cabello, mochila, cartera de marca, y todo nuestro dinero) y encima nos dijeron que habíamos dejado a la vuelta de nuestra habitación x el balcón de una de nas ventas que ni siquiera sabíamos que existía una mochila, cuando nos entregaron eso estaban solo nuestros documentos como pasaporte, como perdimos el vuelo decidimos ir a la comisaría a realizar la denuncia, el administrador nos llevo en su carro indicando que eso lleva tiempo, pero nisiquiera se le vio preocupado porque alguien de su hotel hayabhecho eso, no decía q a veces podría ser que hemos venido tomados de una fiesta y que quíza dejamos eso afuera pero era imposible ya que nosotros nisiquiera habíamos tomado, aparte que nuestras pertenecenxias fueron seleccionadas de varios lugares de la habitaciones , cuando llegamos de la comisaría para exigirles que se hagan responsable por lo menos de los pasajes ya que somos extranjeros dijeron que no y ya tenían a su abogado, fue la peor experiencia que hemos tenido, mi amiga y yo nos tuvimos que regresar, pero mi amigo se tuvo que quedar para seguir con el proceso de investigación porque no hay duda que alguien del hotel se.metió de madrugada y aprlvechobque estábamos durmiendo y comenzó a robarnos. Its a cute little hotel in a pretty decent area. Their restaurant closes at 3 but there is a market complex across the road that has a supermarket, Subway, Burger King, etc. There's also an adorable place called Punto pasta where we had most of our meals. The room was clean and quite spacious. A microwave and coffee machine were also included for our use.
