We had a shrimp and a fish taco. The wait was quite long, even though only a few tables were occupied when we ordered. The setting on the beach is beautiful, and the place is nicely shaded (the two stars are for that). Unfortunately, we could find almost no fish or shrimp in our tacos. It was 95% breading and a very small piece of fish. The fish taco actually had a shrimp tail in it. It made us wonder if there are any shrimp in the taco. Really gross experience. The restaurant scene in Celestun is interesting. The restaurants on the beach are open during the day and cater to tourists. They are, you guessed it, tourist traps. Bad food, high prices, or both. They also have washrooms and change rooms so you can enjoy the ocean and beautiful beach. I went with a large group and everyone was very pleased with the food and friendly service.
