Had a lovely time here during our beach day at Celestun. The staff were really kind and eager to accomodate. We felt really at ease parking ourselves under their shelter, sipping on drinks, dipping into the beach, and having a tasty lunch. (Mixed ceviche and the fried fish which was DELISH and perfectly plated and seasoned).

Be warned the portions are big! We ordered the large ceviche not realizing it was for 4 to 6 people. I'm not one to complain about too much ceviche. (they kept our leftovers in the fridge for us til the end of the day so we wouldn't waste it and had an excellent lunch the next day back in Merida).

I love how sencillo the place is ... nothing fancy or overdone, just a comfy shady place to hang out, sip drinks, wash up and enjoy the good things in life....

We had a beautiful meal here with an incredible view. From the beginning, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was very kind and so attentive, which we have found to be very rare during our travels here. He checked in on us very often and made sure everything was perfect.

I had the fried boquinete, which was super fresh and flavorful. My wife had the fried shrimp, which were a bit too small but still delicious. I think my wife and I ended up eating like 20 tostadas with our guacamole because they were so thin and perfectly fried and salted. Drinks came out super quick and ice cold.

The view was unbeatable and they allowed us to hang out and go into the ocean and even bring a few of their chairs over near the surf.

Overall, 1000%...

I ordered the fish, which was really great. They also put together a vegetarian dish, and the veggie dishes that other places have put together have not been great… but this one was good and had a good combination of things. The fried plantains were also really good. For drinks, we recommend the margarita. We also liked how we got to hang out on the playa beds for a while and watch the sunset. The portions were large, and comparatively far better priced than some other restaurants on the beach that we looked at. I would go here...
