I give this restaurant 3.5 stars. My wife and I saw this place during the evening when we were walking around. She liked that it looked a little jungly almost as if monkeys are exotic birds would be seen if we went in. We kept her romanticism alive by coming back the next day to try it out. We arrived and heard music. We walked through the jungle-like walkway only to be seated by a table on a large patio. The band was playing music and a few of the songs started by clapping what seemed to me like a Manolo Garcia song "pajaros de barro". The service was good. We took our time ordering and the waiters were very patient. I ordered a shrimp plate and my wife ordered a salad and something else that is not memorable to me. The food was okay. Nothing that makes me remember what it was that I enjoyed. As usual we washed it down with a glass of wine. Also not as memorable. Overall the experience was okay. The food was not as good as my wife hoped. The service was good but the waiter was late when we asked for the bill. The cost was really high for the amount of food we got. The music was a highlight. The restaurant atmosphere and the music made the experience a nice time to spend for an...

We we're out for a past dinner walk and stumbled across Patio Escobedo. It was so alluring, looking like a wild forest bar, a little quiet and off from the main grouping of bars. The vibe was excellent, the DJ was amazing and the stage for the DJ looked like something out of a YouTube video. We were lucky to make a friend (hi Bo), and it seems that's the vibe of the bar is if you want to make friends, this is a great place to do it. The service was amazing, attentive, friendly, Cesar was such a friendly guy, knowledgeable on the drinks, welcoming, really made the night wonderful (amongst all the staff). Everyone seems to speak fairly good English here if that's a draw. He recommended the mezcal cocktails. We had the pepino and jamaica (hibiscus), with their homemade Jamaica syrup and dried pineapple topper. Both were balanced, not overly smoky, refreshing. We had the corn bread with ice cream which was amazing, balanced, not overly sweet. The overall experience was a fever dream that I wish I could revisit. I hope they continue to do well and I hope it's a place I can keep...

¿No quedar mal?

Patio Escobedo is an absolute MUST DO Mazatlán dining experience. The setting is almost magical. The serving staff are like welcoming best friends. The food is simply superb. Come for the atmosphere, stay for the service and keep coming back for the outstanding, yet not pretentious, culinary experience! Special shout outs for the Ossobuco, the Argentinian steak and the burgers (BOTH the shrimp burger and the beef burger). The grilled/roasted Broccoli is amazing.. and the calamari is, in my opinion, the best in Mazatlán. The other special shout out should go to Cesar (truly brilliant server!!) Do yourself a huge favour and make a reservation (which is definitely recommended)

Update: live music was nice! Ordered the tostadas and the Argentinian sausage and Potatoes. Sausage has a great flavor. The potatoes were very under cooked unfortunately. I liked the sauces; something was def missing. Great shareable item. The star of Marlin tostada was the pickled slaw. The Marlin was a bit tough and too Room temp for us. The service was prompt. The venue was full of people that were dressed for a night out/dinner, which is nice change for a casual beach area. Great date spot. First time: Walked by and stumbled upon the space by accident. Liked the ambiance, drinks, and music. Have yet to try to food. Perhaps another time!
