Barrio Olas Altas (Shrimp Bucket) — Restaurant in Sinaloa

The service was great! They worried about me being too hot in in the sun and were attentive. I like the ambiance. They have live music outside in the evenings and if you don’t want to eat, it’s still a perfect people watching spot to catch the sunset, music and a drink. It’s also the only spot within walking distance that you might get some reggae. Unfortunately not all the dishes we’ve tried made the cut. I was disappointed in the food this time around, since they changed things, but will probably give something else a try next time. Presentation was great, it was the flavor that is a miss. The garlic butter and diabla sauces tasted like fat without any flavor. And the amount of vein in the shrimp didn’t help for me. I'm mainly just writing this cuz there's a guy named Donald the explorer who looks like he plans on coming back after a few decades. Sorry Donald I'm currently sitting in a sushi restaurant that used to be the "shrimp bucket place" you seek. I just asked the waiter. And your shrimp bucket place is most definitely not here anymore. This sushi restaurant is decent and you can definitely get lots of shrimp close by and all over mazlatan, but sorry to say the spot your looking for definitely isn't...

Disappointing. The first clue that this visit was going to be bad was showing up about 2:45 PM and being the only ones there. Then come to find out they only have Corona lite for cervezas and have no tuna. The food when we finally ordered took 40 minutes and the Dorado I had was overcooked and chewy. Don't waste your time and money here, there are many better choices...
