Nestled away in a chic plaza with plenty of other modern bars and restaurants, Comal is among the best dining experiences I’ve had in my life. Each dish is an absolute labor of love that brings creative new tastes to your mouth, and the flavor combinations are thoughtfully complementary and delicious. Dish sizes vary, but are generally on the above-average side for fine dining, making each dish easily shareable for two people. The vegetable mole and pork belly are absolutely phenomenal. Cost is also exceedingly reasonable, and I ended up paying less than $100 USD after tip for six plates and three drinks for myself and one other person. The aesthetic inside is comfortable and warm. The service from our wait staff (Paola and Enrique) was genuinely friendly and top notch—a reflection of the passion and love the staff have for their food. I felt she was an excellence in her profession and advised her that I trusted her choices. Every single serving of the five items was thoroughly explained as it was elegantly presented by the chef’s preparation. I was utterly pleased from the moment I walked in till I left. I took partial picture of my ’view’ and sent it to my friend, whom I’m bringing on my next visit, and she actually identified the...

When the order came I thought that doesn’t look like much food for the $$. But then the first bite was an explosion of flavor. We both savored all the flavors and my husband’s kept saying how delicious his meal was. In the end we both agreed we would definitely come back and the food was absolutely not overpriced. Quality was...
