Delica Mitsu — Restaurant in Guanajuato

I had read good things about Delica Mitsu and finally had the opportunity to go the other day. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. The California rolls with fresh shrimp were incredibly fresh and delicious and the curry shrimp ramen was very flavorful and satisfying. The presentation was beautiful and the service fast, friendly, and professional. The place has a nice atmosphere inside as well and the dishes were very affordable. I plan to go back multiple times and try everything! The only thing I can pick at is that I wish they offered pickled ginger to go with the sushi (I know you can buy it affordably at La Comer, sold buy a Mexican company), and I usually say the opposite about sweetness, but their home-made ginger ale would be even better if they added a little bit of sweetener, or provided this option...

Sweet little spot right between 2 of the more famous restaurants in town. I was hankering for sushi, and liked everything we got except maybe the sushi lol. The miso soups are HUGE, the garlic edamame is incredible. The staff is very sweet & works hard. I'd say do NOT get the veggie sushi roll, it's basically lettuce and a sliver of cucumber wrapped in rice - we had to doctor it up with the garlic edamame sauce and soy sauce to make it edible - it needed a FAT in it like avocado, etc. and could have easily had a variety of veggies given the incredible produce in Mexico? anyway consider yourself warned on that, we were told the chicken teriyaki roll wasn't available and I wish we'd gotten something else. But I'd totally give this place another shot! Great vibe at tables...

Normalmente no vamos al campanero, siempre vamos a la versión pequeñita de esta franquicia ya que nos queda más cerca, pero fuimos esta vez porque queríamos un poco de Ramen, no sabíamos que era a partir de las cinco, pero esas son obviamente reglas del restaurante. Nos gusta mucho el aire libre, así que decidimos por la terraza. La comida fue perfecta; aunque traíamos ganas de otra cosa, la disfrutamos mucho. Lamentablemente hay cosas que no nos gustaron para nada:

Primeramente la mesa bailaba un poquito, pero lo que nos dejó perplejos fue que estaba sumamente sucia, entre las ranuras de la madera había quien sabe cuánta cosa, la verdad se camuflajea muy bien, pero desgraciadamente había un pedacito blanco que fue lo que me llamó la atención. Me queda clarísimo que ya no es la misma administración, porque el dueño al que conocía le hubiera parecido inaceptable.

También un letrero que está en el área del baño. Tiene las palabras disponible y ocupado, una en cada lado. Se supone que cuando entras lo volteas y cuando sales lo pones de nuevo como estaba, con la palabra disponible. Tengo que decir que me pareció en extremo antihigiénico, no sólo por el hecho de que es un letrero de cartón forrado con plástico, también porque el simple hecho de tener que tocarlo; por obviedad ya lo vuelve un foco de infección. Además de que un seguro lo volvería obsoleto, lo cual me lleva al último punto.

Se comprende y disculpa en los restaurantes de Guanajuato, cuando los empleados usan el mismo sanitario que los comensales, ya que algunos espacios son tan pequeños que muchos de ellos solo tienen uno. Desconozco del todo si existe otro sanitario en este edificio pero estoy seguro que es muy probable que exista otro. De cualquier manera, mi chica se dirigía a usar el baño y vió el letrero que decía disponible, y abrió la puerta; oh sorpresa! Estaba la señorita camarera usándolo. Cómo dije es entendible que se tenga que hacer esto, pero como es posible que ni siquiera los empleados del lugar sepan o quieran usar el ya mencionado letrero para evitar escenas como esa y sobretodo, un disculpe ayuda a veces.
