In a city with few vegan options, it was refreshing to find a restaurant providing several dishes catering to vegans. The surprising addition of a decent vegan cheese and soyrizo made my breakfast chilaquiles quite tasty, and the enchiladas were decent. I also had the opportunity to sample a baguette, and while it left a lot to be desired it hit the spot. Nothing fancy; could be better, but could be far worse.
Now for the cons: Each time I had a dish here that contained lettuce or spinach of any kind (a common addition to many mexican meals) it was obviously spoiled; Even going so far as to hide the rotting lettuce under tomatoes, and I had to remove several pieces from my sandwich. The sandwich also came with a salad made up of rotting lettuce.
The servers were quite impolite, and when arriving for breakfast they forgot key elements to our meals. They were cold, not responding to our queries or even engaging in eye contact. Quite bizarre as no one else in the restaurant seemed to receive this treatment.
There are some quaint tables on a pedestrian bridge that we were never able to procure, with a nice view of an alley and the hillsides...
Read moreAWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! A ver popular spot in downtown and that's it. I have no other positive thing to say. We visited the place this weekend and we have had to wait for long time outside the place before they give us a table, even when they have some available tables inside, then we have had to wait for so long for the drinks and even more for the food to come... It seemed so tasty, but unfortunately, it was so tasteless and dull. And what can I say about the staff, they are the most unkind people!!! When we need something, they were like "oh yeah" with no sense of urgency or something, acting like they were bored or they didn't want to give us the service, and even when we leave the place and said "thank you" to a staff girl she ignored us completely.
So... Even 1 star...
Read moreFirst off if you think you will get to sit on one of the two tables on the bridge, you are deadwrong. Those tables are always reserved for vips. Instead , at best, you will get a table in the dining area that has one of the two windows in this restaurant. At worst you will sit in a windowless room next to the bathroom. Foods okay, not great just so so, onces you get past the bathroom smell. The waiter forgot to bring us a menu and had to go get one ourselves walked past our waiter just chatting to a coworker. It was around 25usd per person, a little steep for the area but not too bad. Verdic: wouldn't recommend it and definitely not going back. Just take a picture on the bridge for Instagram and say you ate there and it was the greatest thing ever...
