One of the main reasons I loved it is because if you are traveling on a limited schedule this is a great way to visit el PIPILA. It takes you up there in no time. So you can enjoy the beautiful view from above. The cost is very affordable you can buy it round trip or one way. On the lower level you will only find the ticket booth, but on the upper level in the hill you find little shops filled with souvenirs and a little store to grab a snack or two. The funicular is located on the back of the building of teatro Juarez. Right at the corner of the alley and calle constancia. On the top of the funicular there are lots of tour guides offering their services to take you around Guanajuato’s best tours, like the callejoneadas, or a 3 hour city tour or why not a whole day tour which takes you to dolores hidalgo and surrounding areas. I hope you enjoy your visit to the funicular....

The wait was long, we waited around 40 minutes. The ride itself was fairly short, around 5 mins and less than 10. It does offer some great city views. By the time we got on, it was dark and we saw all the city lights and some highlight points such as the churches and university. About 8 to 10...

Lots of good market stalls at the bottom and good shops with sophisticated items of jewellery etc at the top of the actual funicular, before you head towards the viewing area. We both bought things here, and we had shopped a lot before this.
Of course the view was amazing.
We meant to walk back down the roads to town, to see some sights along the way. We set out Google map to walking, and ended up descending hundreds of steps and saw nothing.
Best to set your map to driving. That’s way, you might actually see something on...
