The worst experience! I wish I could rate a 0.... the service and attitude from the staff is unacceptable... we got to the restaurant in a cloudy day, half of the restaurant is being remodeling so the other half is not pleasant to hear the hammer banging... however, outside at the beach there was 4 tables available, so we started walking to see where we can sit down; when we were walking to one of them we realized that 3 of theme we're reserved which I heard one of the staff saying out loud to another "do they have a reservation? Those tables are reserved" (in an arrogant tone)... we haven't even sit down we where just looking at the place and we know how to read... anyways, we sit down in the only table available at the beach area and then the weiter comes to us after like 10 minutes and give us only 1 menu (when we are 3 so... I don't understand at this point) but then the cherry of the cake is that I see all the staff talking to each other and the weiter tell us "if it start raining more intense, you will have to move out of the beach area".... he didnt gave us any other explanation about why or anything he just basically made us feel like "we dont have space for you as we have everything reserved, we only have 1 menu for you cus you probably are not even gonna consume enough for our rate, and then we can't eat at the beach" no explinations once or ever. I was so upset about this attitude, like they were making us a favour to let us sit down in their restaurant..... very dissapointed and unacceptable.... if the owner of this place is reading this, I will highly recommend you to train your staff in some service to the client, cus they have no idea what this is (and then at the end they are expecting a tip???). We are on vacation and the only thing we want is to enjoy some good food, a nice day AT THE BEACH and have good service (for a restaurant that charge a lot and to be treated like that.... it is just not cool). .. we ended up leaving the place and going to a nice palapa where the service was super good. You should TAKE CARE OF...
Read moreMy worst experience in Zihua. I asked about all the beach chairs which were reserved (no one showed up for half of them the 90 minutes I was there). They said they were full and gave me a table in the back then had me me move again so they could mark that table as reserved. They then created a new lounge chair area right next to me. I tried to flag someone down to get another drink and move to a beach chair, in which case I would have stayed and ate lunch. The youngest waiter/busboy simply looked away twice when I asked for his help, which was shockingly rude. The veteran waitstaff is also spread too thin on the weekend and can’t handle all the tables/chairs (it’s a big place).
On top of all that it was overpriced, with a beer costing 60 pesos, which is almost double what the better places charge.
I was disappointed and definitely would not go back even though they are one of the few places that have public beach chairs—the resorts own a lot of the beachfront seating, exclusive to guests.
I guess I will try a different...
Read moreExcellent location. The food and the service as great as always except when we arrived. The day before we called to make a reservation and they told us that there were not reservations that we have to get there to get a table if available. When we arrived very early in the morning (they were just opening) we found out that all the tables at the beach were booked and there were very few available inside. Fortunately we got there early and didn't have problems to get a table inside and rent some chairs at the beach however the waiters were not welcoming as usual, they barely looked at us and they did not answer our questions. They did not came to greet us an get us a table we had to find one by ourselves and we had to demand for the service. Once installed we had no further problems and things run smoothly as usual, but I couldn't help to notice that that same behavior repeated with all the locals and that all the tourists from outside the country had a better attention at...
