We absolutely love Mexican food, especially birria, and heard about their incredible birria so decided to come.

Orlando’s mother cooks the birria in their backyard for 10+ hours, and the result was simply amazing. The broth was so full of flavour and rich, but not greasy. My boyfriend alone ate 2 portions (8 tacos and 2 birria broth) to say the least. Initially we went when they did not have birria, but when we returned Orlando made sure to go above and beyond to help us enjoy the delicious food his mother made. It truly felt like being invited to someone’s home and having their home cooked meal.

We also tried their enchilada verde and the sauce was so so incredible. I made sure to cover that chicken enchilada full with the salsa verde, and we left nothing on the plate! If birria is not your thing, do try the enchilada. Very delicious!

In addition to the fantastic food, Orlando’s hospitality was truly wonderful- he was very kind, gave us some great local tips on other restaurants to try and things to do, and just made us feel right at home. I would give 10 stars if I could. This place is definitely worth visiting if you’re on the island and want to try some amazing local food! Muchas...

This family run establishment is just perfect. Orlando and his family made us feel right at home and cooked AMAZING food. I asked for something spicy and he suggested the birria quesadilla that his mother cooked in a pit in their backyard. It's not on the menu, but if they have it...get it!! Almost brought me to tears! I told Orlando that I was naming my first born after him, hope it's a boy! After we finished, he suggested that we go two blocks south and get some cochinita. It's only available on Sundays and cooked the same as the birria (wrapped in banana leaves and buried in a pit overnight) but cochinita is pork instead of beef. We were so full, but it was totally worth the nap we had to take after eating so much food. Thank you for such an amazing...

I left the island 2.5 weeks and I totally woke up and remembered I forgot to leave these amazing people a review. We were driving our cart down the island and I said I wanted to find a “hole in the wall” without searching on Google first.

We saw a sandwich board for “$1 tacos” so we had to stop. We get in there and we ended up getting Los Gordo tacos instead, these are hands down some of the best tacos I’ve ever had.

Our amazing server (I wish I could remember his name) told us to come back the following day for Birria tacos they had been preparing for 17 hours in a banana leaf. We had to come back.

I had the best tacos of my life with the best homemade coffee of my life at...
