If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Brick Steakhouse is an absolute must if you are in Guadalajara. From the moment we arrived, everything was impeccable—this restaurant truly knows how to deliver excellence in both food and atmosphere.

To start, we were served a creamy Mexican cheese accompanied by crispy tostadas and three different spicy sauces, which were the perfect way to tease the palate. For our wine, we chose the Resalte Vendimia Seleccionada 2019 from Ribera del Duero, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Rich, smooth, and perfectly paired with our meal.

For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse steak, and it was hands-down the best steak we’ve had in a long time. Cooked to perfection, it was served with potatoes, caramelized onions, and jalapeños. The steak came with three salts for pairing—two of which had varying levels of spiciness, adding an extra layer of excitement to every bite.

To celebrate our anniversary, the staff surprised us with pan de elote (Mexican cornbread) paired with creamy ice cream. It was a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more special. I’m going to try to make this at home because I can’t stop thinking about it.

Then, when you think you are done, and ask for the check, they surprise you with guanábana popsicles!

MASSIVELY DISAPPOINTING Experience!!

We went to celebrate my birthday at this highly ranked restaurant, expecting an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations.

Despite it being a quiet Monday night, our food took 35 minutes to arrive, even though there were only three of us. We ordered a large bottled water that never came. When we asked again as the entrees were served, we received a small bottle instead (he said they had run out of large bottles -- how do you run out of large bottled water at a Top 100 restaurant??). To our frustration, the table next to us received the same large bottle we had ordered 25 minutes prior! (They were seated, at minimum, 15-20 minutes after we did). Mind you, it was easy to scan the restaurant "crowd" as it was a slow Monday night.

The biggest issue was the inconsistency in the food. One of our steaks (rib eye) was overly salty, while the NY cut was perfectly seasoned. Surprisingly, the lasagna was also too salty. We had to send both dishes back—something we’ve never had to do at even a regular restaurant, let alone a Top 100 ranked one.

The manager was helpful and accommodated our re-order, and we were given a complimentary birthday dessert. However, the damage was already done! The overall experience was terrible, and we couldn't wait to leave.

The food and the restaurant atmosphere were fantastic. The drinks could be better, with a greater variety of sides to go with the steaks.

I really think you have to get at the very least, the American ribeye prime quality cut to truly appreciate the full steak experience here.

But the service was average and left a bad taste in the mouth after a great meal.

At the time of paying the bill of 2100+ pesos with card, I said very loudly and clearly, "con el diez," but the waiter ignored me and put through 15% without even asking. And so I knew by his behaviour that he was going to steal from me and I caught him red handed.

Overall the food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired.

Who knows how many people they successfully steal from, but it must be regular if the waiter had the audacity to do this.

On the contrary, I always leave a 15% tip at Negroni in Midtown because that's quality service that deserves the extra despite similar bills. And most importantly they do it without expectations. Don't steal from your customers please.
