My experience here was horrible in terms of customer service. The waiter who attended to us, sat us down and instructed us to use the QR code to bring up a digital menu for the restaurant. So far, nothing out of the ordinary since most restaurant nowadays will instruct the same. However, most restaurants will provide a wifi password or at least an updated version of the their menu. So when the waiter arrives to take our drinks order, I asked if the tea was caffeine free since my body cannot take it. His answer was, "It is natural". Forgive my ignorance, but natural does not mean without caffeine so I asked him if that was a yes or no to which he replied yes. He comes back minutes later to tell me the tea does in fact contain caffeine, so I proceeded to order a glass of water, which the menu indicated was bottled. There was never a bottle in sight so I got charged for the price of a bottled water instead which I find unreasonable. Nevertheless, I kept my interest for this place and went on to order a meal. My friend was the first to order and he asked for a bowl of garlic rice to which the waiter wrote and accepted the order with no problem. Yet, when I ordered garlic rice, he gives me a confused look and I translated it to Spanish as written on the menu and he looks at me like I'm stupid. I asked, "Why do you look so confused when it is on your menu?" To which he replied that it was not and I even argued that he took the same order from my friend without blinking. He brought a physical menu and showed us that the selection was not there but did not apologize for the misunderstanding or even assured us that it would be fixed for future visits. I was not happy with the way I was treated as if I were some ignorant fool who does not know the Spanish language when I am myself a Mexican. On another matter altogether, the waiter then came back and brought something to the table, that I am not sure what the name is, but my girlfriend's mother asked the waiter over 6 times and in a loud tone what it was he was serving and he just ignored her. She tried breaking the ice with a joke which he did not even acknowledge and also treated her as if she were stupid. Message to the waiter: If you are unhappy with your job, don't make it the customers' problem. Learn to treat folks with respect and you will have truly earned not only your salary, but the tips which in my opinion you did not deserve. I was not going to let the waiter ruin my experience here. I heard the place was 100% authentic in sushi and Japanese cuisine in general so I wanted to try. I will say this, my compliments to the chef. However, the fried rice and cheesecake I did order left a lot to be desired. Everything else was delicious but not very filling. By the time we finished our meal, we paid and left 100 pesos as a tip. That is the most I have ever left as a tip for such a bad service. If the food weren't good, I would have rated this place with 1 star. I will not be bringing my...
Read moreAs part Japanese, who lived and ate all over Japan I would say this is easily the most authentic, fresh and value for money and quality you are going to get in the city or anywhere in Mexico. I tried several places and even the most expensive wasn't even close to authentic and charged over and beyond what they it was worth, which I wasn't impressed with. This was far superior. Japanese are all about giving an amazing culinary experience for a fair price and I would definitely say that this qualifies. Definitely come if you...
