La casita del molcajete — Restaurant in Jalisco

You have to earn 5 Stars from me and this place checked all the boxes! I'm also surprised at that because I've passed it by many times, but not in the future. Service was prompt and courteous. They delivered one of the fastest meals we've gotten anywhere Lakeside. Atmosphere is open and simply charming, but most importantly, the Mixed Molcajete was outstanding! Exploding with flavor, accompanied with excellent tortillas and table Pico de Gillo's (the cucumber was different and very good!) and tasty, spicy, salsa. They could improve on the packaged tostada's for their chips, but that's not worth complaining about....

This is the second time we have eaten there. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was quick and attentive. We had the molcajete. You only need one for two people (actually, it could feed four). Delicious! If you order the basic (smaller) margaritas, refills appear to be free (if also ordering a meat dish).

Neighbors recommended the blue shrimp, which looked very good. Next time.

We ate here earlier this week as well. Service in the middle of the day was good. We had the very generous shrimp cocktail, which was very good but warm, as others have noted.

Horrible service. Waiters are rude and prefer to sit around drinking beer than serve you. You have to beg to get a menu.. They allow extremely loud music to be played despite your complaints because they like it. Zero stars. This is my very first zero star review but they deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have to select at least one star to post your review so that's the reason for the the 1 star but I wish to reiterate that they are zero stars...
